Brushless is so nice
I love the brushless technology. I get all the power without the battery drain. I thought other brands had outperformed Makita and was going to switch to another brand of Lithium Power tools. I'm glad I bought this and stayed with Makita.

Good Daily Driver
This is a great all around drill. I have owned it for 3 years. It has enough power for most applications and uses. (Struggles at mixing concrete with a paddle bit and driving 5/16 5" screws, but that's why I have the XPH14).It is light and nimble enough. The hammer function is great. I have drilled man 1/4" holes for plastic anchors in masonry and concrete walls. The lowest setting on the clutch is gentle enough to build cheap furniture such as Ikea and other things that you generally should be using a screwdriver for.I select this drill 95% of the time over my XPH14, due to its lightness and nimbleness. Feels great in the hand. Has help up for 3 years with zero functional issues. Has been dropped many times and has been rained on and dropped in the mud. It has a good trigger with a good range of speeds and controls.
