Avoderm Natural Vegetarian Formula Wet Dog Food, All Life Stages, Case Of 12 Cans

I've been buying this food for my vegan dogs for months. They love it!My only complaint is I've found a few cans were only partially filled.Quality control?

My dog is so picky and sometimes just doesn't want to eat, this stuff is the closest I have gotten to something that makes her eat more quickly. She is even a little protective of it, which she never has been before (more playfully than aggressively, like if she thinks we -humans- are walking over to get her food she may run over and eat it first). My only trouble with it is that most cans have a big air bubble in the bottom where there isn't food, so each can has a little less than it should. This equates to like a spoonful, so I haven't been too bothered by it, but it is what is keeping me from giving 5 stars.

I have bought this dog food 73 times. But no more. The last couple cases had half empty cans, and cans packed with huge air bubbles. You can feel the cans are lighter. Last straw was when I opened a completely empty can. If this gets past their quality control, how can I trust feeding this to my dogs?

I think this switch is working wonders for my 12 yo golden mix. Her hair was all patchy and has grown back just like when she was younger as I believe she developed an allergy to the type D chicken and who knows what other kind of animals tossed in most all dog foods in the stores. Hopefully this will buy my girl a good number of more years and that is priceless to me 💕 I devide the cans into 3 parts, add hot water and serve as a topper on some other salmon based dog food also sold on amazon..I'm very happy with so far

Our dogs love this food and we've ordered it a couple of times. Unfortunately, the last 2 times we ordered it there was a can each order that had to be thrown away because it was bad. The bad can had food that was dried out, shrunken, and looks very different from the good can. That is a lot of money to throw away.

When I opened the first can that I received about nine months ago, there was a hole straight down the center of the dog food. Now I am sure that that’s from the tube that inserts the dog food into the can but the fact that it left the hole the entire length of the can, probably a half an inch across, made me wonder if I was really getting the amount of dog food per weight that was on the label. I also thought that this was maybe a fluke but every single can in the 12 pack was exactly the same. Well, I wrote it off as a factory goof that that lot had somehow not filled the cans properly. But then I got the second 12 pack, and at least half of the cans had the same hole all the way to the bottom. So that was bad enough but then after about maybe 6 to 8 months my dog just really would not eat it anymore. Also when you first open the can, it’s nice and moist but after literally overnight in the refrigerator (I have a small dog, so she eats about a quarter of a can a day) the food gets harder and harder and dryer and dryer until it’s pretty much coming out in chunks and when I try to break it down it just crumbles. So I stopped buying this I’m not going to be buying this brand again.

This caused severe digestive issues for my morkie puppy under 3 months. We tried small quantity twice in our attempt to switch to high-quality vegetarian food. But the puppy had diarrhea and it was painful to see him go through. This product may be suitable to some breeds after certain age. We are determined to increase vegetarian over animal-based so tried again after 7 month age. And the puppy is loving it. No digestion issues any more.

My dogs do like this food so that is OK with me. The only problem I see is that it is quite dry compared to most other wet dog food that I have tried.
