Great product
Our first purchase on this product was recommended and sold by our veterinarian. A prescription is not necessary so we subsequently purchased it on Amazon. It has the same properties as the veterinarian's product at a much lower cost. This product is currently being given to a parrot but may be given to small animals.

Great for preventing calcium deficiency in parrots
This was recommended by my avian veterinarian. She said to add it to my parrot's water, to cure the effects if calcium deficiency that resulted from egg laying. (The eggs were not fertilized.) It is a sterile solution that is supposed to be administered IV to cows, but 1 teaspoon per 4 ounces of water cured my bird (loss of equilibrium, weak grip) in 24 hours. I closed it quickly after dispensing to prevent contamination, and refrigerated it between uses. My only reason for only 4 stars is the price. I could have bought it online for under $5, but I needed it immediately, and it does last a long time.

Used for egg bound hen
My hen was egg bound. I few drops of this syringed in her beak produced a happy egg laying hen. This is my go- to cure. I’m not a vet but this works for me.
