Still works after many cycles
I bought this since it was reasonably priced and shipped overnight, and I needed it for a custom project with a tight timeline. It is overrated for my circuit, which only draws up to 2 amps, but I still mounted it to a quality heatsink. I may pull it for a different project some day so the extra capacity is nice to have. Used in a cooling circuit with a 12V control voltage that cycles the SSR multiple times an hour. Has been working just fine for weeks and I expect it will continue to do so.

I'm using this SSR for my solar power plant rapid shutdown.
I live off-grid in a solar powered cabin. All of my construction is permitted and being inspected. Since I started construction, the NEC (National Electric Code) has changed somewhat. Prior to receiving my certificate of occupancy, I must have a rapid shutdown method implemented in my solar power plant to protect firefighters. My inverter can supply up to 60 surge amps to the main electrical box. Thus, I purchased this SSR 100 DA solid state relay. It was put in series with the output of the inverter and I have an outdoor waterproof emergency shutdown button conspicuously placed so that firefighters can easily find it. When it is depressed, it de-energizes this SSR, effectively killing all power to the cabin immediately.I've tested the SSR under light and heavy load. It has performed well.

Solid state relays at an electro-mechanical price
I purchased a couple of these to use as a replacement for the original relay controlling the compressor in a window AC unit which had developed an intermittent "contacts closed when coil deenergized" condition. At the cost of these solid state relays, it doesn't make sense to retain the "old tech" of an electro-mechanical relay when you can gain all of the benefits of a solid state device. Longevity is uncertain at this point, but I will be surprised if I ever have to replace it again, since I selected a new relay with double the load current rating due to the inductive load of the compressor.

Good, but would prefer less current draw with no LED.
I bench tested this SSR with an LED lamp load at 120VAC. I drove it from 3-15 VDC and observed the current draw from 8 to 11mA. In my application, I would prefer less current draw to having an LED indicator. But you can't beat the price and fast delivery via Amazon. This will be used to replace a thermal lamp timing switch in an ancient garage door opener, where I'm going for minimum parasitic drain on a control circuit. Expect a 10-11mA load if you use this relay in a 12VDC circuit.

Make it clear the SS relays need a load in order to work
I ordered this relay for a project. All wired up. Red light came on. Tested continuity with Fluke ohm meter. No continuity. Sent back. Replaced quickly. (Great service). Same result. No continuity. Happened that our adult son was with me, and advised me to put a load across the NO contacts. Worked perfectly. So I returned the first relay for no good reason. But in the product description I cannot find anything about a minimum load in order for the relay to work. Works very well in my project. Service on return was excellent. Would be much better to have an explanation about needing at least a minimum load.

Nobody Likes a Quitter
I used it for a couple of months in a homemeade spot welder. Set the machine aside for a couple of months, went to dust if off, discovered it doesnt trigger. Traced the problem down to this guy. Now I'm two monthw past the return window.Weaksauce. I hate feeling taken advantage of as a consumer.
