but it works great for what I wanted it for
I have just used this pedometer for a few days, but it works great for what I wanted it for. I think one of the best features is that it does not record every little movement--you actually have to be walking and moving your arms as well, and it only starts recording your steps after 30 consecutive/consistent steps (which will then all of a sudden show up on your step counter as 31, 32, etc.). You still get those 30 steps--just doesn't record it until it knows you've actually done 30+ steps at any one given time. I like that it will just keep accumulating steps the entire day as I'm doing various things, starting and stoping on its own as it senses I'm moving walking long enough again, and it's nice that it also doubles as a watch on your wrist. I have a very small wrist, so I ended up putting it on the last notch--and the excess band you tuck under for me ends up going right up to the other end of the watch, but I really have a small wrist. Sometimes the excess band that is tucked under (after putting it through the loop to secure it), comes out from under the watch area, but again, that's because I am on the last notch and there is a lot of excess band. I have noticed, though, that it seems to be settling in the more it forms to that spot and position on my wrist, so I think that will happen less and less the more I wear it. There are plenty of holes. It is a little awkward getting it on as you really have to push the notch into the hole to secure it and it can be a little tricky getting used to doing it with one hand, but I would rather you have to secure it more so it stays on your wrist when moving around. I just sit down, use my one hand, and lean the arm I'm putting it on onto my leg and help use that for leverage. I have been able to do it myself every time. One question I asked the seller was how the pedometer counted the steps in terms of the stride length you manually enter for you personally (if you choose to do that vs using the automatic settings). I wanted to set up the stride length & pounds personally for myself. My question to him was if I enter a smaller stride length than what I am actually walking, does the pedometer automatically adjust and give me more steps for taking a wider stride than I entered or vice versa, does the pedometer automatically wait to enter a step until I do a couple of smaller steps if my stride ends up being smaller than the stride length I entered. Hope that makes sense, but I was curious as I wanted to know if the stride length affected the number of steps it recorded. The answer given to me was that the stride length is only used to determine the total mileage you have done, and it does not affect how the pedometer counts the steps. No matter how big or small, if you take steps, it will automatically record each same sized or larger or smaller stride step as a step (of course after 30 consecutive steps so it knows it's not a fluke and you're actually walking). I also use a desk cycle while I'm doing work at my office desk. I was curious if the pedometer would track my biking revolutions as steps, but it does not. It is partly because my arms are not moving--I'm typing while my legs are doing all the work. But that's fine, because I mostly wanted to gauge how many steps I'm doing at home and outside the home each day (outside of the desk cycle). Again, I think it's a good thing it doesn't track the biking revolutions, because it's not truly taking steps as your arms are not moving, and that also shows that it will not randomly count every little movement as a step which helps it be more accurate. Lastly, I like the sleek design as a watch that I can wear all the time like any other watch I would. For what I wanted this for, I think it works really well and would recommend it. I have not tried any other types of pedometers before this one, but I'm definitely keeping it. One thing that could be different could be that the numbers/letters could be bigger. But, I am also at the point that I need some reader glasses now, so it might not be an issue for others. I still really like it overall, though.

I love this pedometer
I love this pedometer. It's certainly alot better than I expected. I have been buying the little ones that clip on or go in your pocket. That hasn't worked at all. It seems, somehow, I would always get up against something and it would reset. I didn't know how many steps I was doing. Now I know. It works great! It was easy to set, with simple instructions. It keeps great time. The band is a little tricky, so it takes a bit of getting used to. I would definately purchase this again. Thank you so much!
