Im not a runner im a truck driver
I'm not a shoe fetish dude. I'm into durability and function... I dont review stuff like I'm the authority on perfection and I wear boots... I needed something I could walk around the house and grounds without waking everyone up or something I didn't have to avoid walking around the weeds with without armoring up and checking the mail without 15 lbs of leather and steel... I love these shoes. They are very tough. Very comfortable- and just cuz I bought them I've even taken to walking down to the corner and back (20 mins a day) instead of driving. They're practical in the sense I can just slip them on and do stuff. As far as running- they hit the sweet spot where you aren't worried about hurting your knees and ankles doing normal on the pavement jogs (I'm a truck driver with bad legs and the fact I'm jogging at all with these is amazing)-- if you're an elitist with time on your hands by all means spend twice as much money for the same results... if you're a real working person- these may still be pricey but in my eye a great value for what you get...Solid, light, comfortable and breathable.... 5 stars to asics.

Nice update to an awesome shoe
I've been sold on Asics in general for the last 6 years and have multiple pairs of the cumulus, gel kinsei and quantum 360's.These newest Quantum 360 4's are really attractive shoes. Fit is on par with the rest of the 360 lineup. These are a bit more refined, I like the lacing system preferring the short setup myself. They are a bit warm as noted already but in exchange you get a nice toe box that will hold its shape much better than previous models. This improves the aesthetic aspect of the shoe greatly in my opinion. Let me say I'm also not buying this shoe because I run marathons. I don't run at all actually. I last did road work during my boxing career more than 10 years ago. I do exercise in them and I do put them to work however. While they are a bit heavier than most I feel more than compensated by the comfort provided by them. They are some of the most comfortable shoes around. The uppers in the Quantum 4 will not rip or tear like the original Quantum 360's did, instead as I mentioned the upper is a really strong material that will retain its shape and surely take a solid beating before any problems occur. Overall I can't say anything negative about the shoe. I'm very happy with them. The upper is different both in lacing system and in the material being much more heavy duty or rugged. To me those are both improvements over the last gen shoe and again provide an enhanced aesthetic appeal to the shoe. If you have been a fan for awhile or are buying your first pair I believe you'll be impressed.

Awesome and comfortable
This is an awesome shoe. This is the first time I'm using Asics, and now there is no turning back to other name brands I've been using all my life.I purchased similar shoe to help with pronation for my son, and helped him with the pain in the ankles he was experiencing.I have plantar fasciitis, that prevented me from running for about 2 yrs and thought I'll try this shoe for myself. This shoe has not only helped me getting rid of the pain in my feet, but also helped improve pain in my knees, caused due to improper walking caused by plantar fasciitis.I will recommend this any time to anybody. I am purchasing a pair for my wife too. These shoes are slightly on the expensive side, but worth it when buying older models at amazon.Update:Just wanted to add that the shoe is forming a fold between the vamp and the toe cap and it hurts, unless you wear a cushioned socks. Changing to 3 stars.

I would rather run in dress shoes
I'm super dissappinted in these. I am a HUGE asics fan and have worn nothing else for the past decade for running. In that time I've never been dissappinted with any shoe I've gotten from them. These were PAINFUL to wear. I thought maybe I just had to break them in (even though I've never had to do that with asics before), so I went cycling figuring that might loosen them up. My feet were hurting so bad in the first 5 miles I quit and called it a day. HIGHLY recommend buying these in store so you can try them on before hand

Hot and heavy
These shoes are very hot, even in winter my feet were very warm, I'm not looking forward to summer. Also, these feel very heavy. In your hand they feel about the same weight as the Cumulus or Nimbus, but while running it feels much heavier, almost like running in sand. Definitely not worth the price over the Cumulus or Nimbus. Would not recommend. My history: I've used Asics as running shoes for several years. I run a 5k around 4 times a week and normally wear the Cumulus or Nimbus. I'm an underpronator.

Stability, Support, and Longevity
For my husband, who’s kind of a gym rat, and one of those people that runs... for fun. He’s got an old injury on one foot and a width just barely more narrow than average that makes finding the right trainers tricky, as he needs something light for running but with excellent arch support and lateral stability. These ASICS deliver with all of the above, and it takes him at least six months to wear them out. They’re also sleek and stylish, unlike the majority of actually functional athletic shoes. If they came in kids sizes for my munchkin feet, I’d probably get a pair for myself.

Very comfortable shoe. However not as good as my older Quantuns. These don’t breathe at all, feet get very hot, very quick. May put these aside until winter time and get a more vented pair for the hotter days. The lace option is a great idea to relieve pressure spots from laces.

Heel pain
The heel cushioning protrudes causing pain, like there's too much resistance to being stood on.Flexing the shoe causes it to stab your foot. They are hot.It comes with an extra set of laces if you want to use a traditional lace up. The laces themselves are just okay.Taking steps is kind of loud. The heel hits the ground pretty hard. My adidas don't have this issue.

Poor design
I’ve owned the previous version of the quantum gel 360’s and they were all perfect. This iteration is so poorly designed I double checked just to make sure it wasn’t a knock off. There is a huge internal bump in the inner right side which feels like there is always a large rock digging into your feet. Whoever designed these should be fired

Middle of the pack at best
The heels rub a lot, bought this for more of a walking shoe while traveling. The shoes get very warm and don’t breathe well at all.Gel Provides good cushioning and lasted me for my trip walking 10kms daily for a month.

Painful.
Extremely uncomfortable model (no fault of seller). The upper was very hard, so pressed and pinched toes painfully at the bend. I do t know why any shoe would be designed to pinch your feet at the bend. Seller was great accepting return.
