Tumi Alpha Bravo Foster Messenger, Hickory, One Size

A few things on this messenger bag. It's probably one of the best messenger bags on the market. Everything about this bag's construction is spectacular. It truly is the epitome of a messenger bag. If you have a corporate job but wear jeans and a shirt and are trudging through the city or airports on a regular basis and need a sturdy bag that you're going to be slinging from your shoulder, then this is your bag. It's spectacular.A few things that you should know about:- It has a nice pouch for a tablet- It doesn't have a real purpose built laptop protector, but it has a zippered pouch that you can use for a smaller laptop and it'll be well protected. This is not a big deal. If you're going to be carrying a laptop in this bag, you might want to invest in an inexpensive laptop sleeve- This bag is roomy on the inside. Plenty of space for a lot of stuff- It has a nice zippered pocket in the front for a phone- It has zippered pockets on the side that expand for you to put a water bottle (this feature is not described enough)- It has a really nice long strap- It has dual entry into its main compartment (the flap and the zipper). This secondary zippered entry is very nice because you can easily unzip and reach into the main compartment without having to open up the flap- The messenger design fits very nicely across your hip. It just rests really nicely on your hip- This bag looks spectacular.WHY I RETURNED IT (for a more traditional Tumi bag)- One thing that is not clear in the description is that the handle on the laptop bag is off center (towards the back of the bag). When you lift the bag from the handle (in a traditional briefcase manner), it's somewhat unnatural to carry it that way because the handle is not centered at the top of the bag. If you're carrying the bag from the handle, your hand is not placed in the center of the bag, it's closer to the back edge of the bag. I can see why it's done. By having the handle to the inboard side, less weight and stress is put on the flap hinges, but this placement creates an unnatural carry for me. I find that I almost can't carry it as a briefcase.- I love the look of the messenger and it carries on my shoulder perfectly, but the nature of my work means that I do wind up carrying the bag in a traditional briefcase manner and I find it unnatural to carry it this way.- Overall, I wish I could have kept this bag because I really loved it but these bags are pricey and I can't just having it laying around without using it (I went with the Tumi Compact Large Screen Laptop Case. It works for me. It's more corporate but that's ok. It does what I need).RETURNS- Return for an exchange with a more traditional Tumi bag was super easy on Amazon. It was a painless and cost free process. They even sent me an exchange before I sent this bag back. Note, I didn't remove any tags, wrapping material or anything on this bag. Make sure you're going to keep something before you take off tags etc so that you can return it easily if you must.

Bought for frequent travel. It easily accommodates my Mac Book air 13". Also essential medicines and other items along with my constant companion -- digital camera fit in. There is also a zippered pocket to keep valuable papers and money. Well made (it is TUMI after all and we expect that). The closures are made of rubber with a twist lock. The zipper at the back can be opened and the bag is easily carried on the handle of a carry on suitcase. Well thought out and well made bag.

I love this bag. This is perfect for my 13in MacBook Air, 12in iPad, chargers, and other items I use frequently on the road and at home. It's roomier than I thought it would be and the quality of each detail is second to none.My favorite part is the intelligent design of the zippers -- allowing my to pull out my laptop for airport security, without having to open the bag flap.Finally, there are expandable water bottle pockets on each side to accommodate a fatter vessel, such as a Gatorade.

I love Tumi; I’ve had Tumi products for over thirty years. And the construction on this is, as usual, flawless. Unfortunately, it’s very hard to pack and unpack; all the spaces seem... about 15% too small.

Love the bag. It's not too big, but not too small. I have had other Tumi messenger bags, that have been much larger, and this on currently addresses my needs. At the same time, it may fit a smaller laptop and iPad, along with other paper resources all at once . Well made product!

Most excellent bag for every day and flying. Fits iPad beats headphones and all my junk. This is a premium luxury bag from Tumi. They're not cheap but SO worth it.

Great bag.. Our office bought it as an appreciation gift for our boss. He loved it. It's now his new favorite working bag and traveling bag.
