I use this tube so much since I commute to campus so I'm constantly bringing my supplies back and forth. It is the largest diameter I could find that was reasonable and can extend to be taller so it can literally fit all of your draft paper, trace, drafting supplies, pins, rulers, and any modeling supplies like basswood sticks too. And the extending part is great for really big paper or simply fitting everything in it. If you are short it fits fine too, I'm 5'3" and it can extend close to my height and I have no issues of it accidentally opening, just make sure you lock it in place at the cap and don't untwist it.I highly recommend a portable tube anyway, but if you don't want to keep things in a bag or also commute with a lot of things it's great because it's larger and fits more. My friend uses one of those big portfolio bags but it's hard to commute with on the T and takes up a lot of space while this is super compact and easy to travel with.

good for larger documents, or lots of them. it is waterproof which is handy. expansion catch doesn't always catch properly -otherwise good.

I purchased two of these tubes to carry a set of construction blueprints. This is a great product at a great price! The tubes are great looking and very well made. They look very professional and expand to accommodate wider documents! They also have a nice carrying strap! I am very pleased with the product and would highly recommend!

The tube is very large, I can't imagine ever being able to fill it with enough posters to need this size. But it did allow me to be lazy with my rolling. My complaint is that the mechanism to twist and unlock/lock the tube into the different sizes (which is very convenient, and the reason I bought it) is a little bit cheap, and at times difficult to do. The tube deforms a bit under even the slightest pressure, and moves the locking pieces away from each other.

I bought this to store my posters and wall art when moving, and it works amazingly well for that. The inside does not have protrusions to catch the paper as you slide the rolled poster in, and the cap fits very well. I wouldn't drive a car over it, but it feels sturdy enough in construction for just about anything short of that.
