A proper scope for a proper rifle . . .
I have been saving my pennies for what would be my ultimate air gun purchase. Torn between the Air Arms TX200 and the Weihrauch HW97K, the thumbhole stock of the HW97KT was the deciding factor. I own four other air guns, but none compare to this engineering marvel. Ordered from PyramydAir and paid through Amazon, my rifle arrived within the 2 day delivery advertised by PyramydAir.Knowing that I would mount a Hawke Sidewinder TAC 30 6.5-20X42 Mildot Riflescope, I also ordered a set of 30mm BKL Double Strap dovetail rings. After mounting the scope and cleaning the barrel, it was off to my backyard range to site in the scope. Sighted in with three shots using Crosman Premier Domed .177 Caliber 10.5 Grain Pellets. The fourth shot nailed a squirrel at 25 yards. The fifth nailed a crow in a tall oak at 40 yards using hold-over. Groups are one ragged, dime size hole. The rifle's documentation claims accuracy will increase after shooting x-number of pellets. I don't see how, this rifle, and scope combination, is spot on.I am extremely pleased with my purchase . . .Urban Squirrel Hunter - New OrleansReference accompanying photographs . . .

Missing the hard case
I just received my scope and it looks awesome. I've put it on my air arms s510 ultimate sporter rifle and will be sighting it in tomorrow morning. I thought I might have misread the description but just verified that it was supposed to come with a hard case. Mine came in a nice cardboard box but certainly not the hard case shown in the picture. I'm really excited to see how it performs but I'm disappointed to be misled with the description and the picture of a hard case. For that I'm going to give it a low rating.

almost awsome
This scope is superb in every aspect save one. Adjustment. It only has 45 moa top to bottom. It has an interesting locking system so the turrets dont move accidentally. Due to this design the turrets dont move up/down as you turn them and there is no way tell how many revolutions you have moved. These are both deal breakers to me. So it has gone back. If you dont care about these adjustment issues, this really is a fantastic scope.

Fabulous scope for the money and then some.
This scope is perfect for my AR-10. Especially for the price!!! I don't think you can buy a better scope for the price. If you can, let me know.

Big scope, small size, big package
I won't be spending $100 - $250 on Leapers scopes anymore, which by the way are a great value, because this scope is on another league..!! You won't regret spending $400 on this beauty. Great optics, lots of light, very clear, and it looks just mean..!! Always look for the right rings, this scope looks and performs better as close to your gun as possible.

Don't know what rating to give the scope but I ...
Don't know what rating to give the scope but I may be sending it back. It says on the add in two places that it comes with the hard case BUT mine came in a white paper box. It's the principle of the thing. Don't know that I would ever use the case but makes me wonder if the one I got was a return or 2nd or something. (Comes with hard case, sunshade, and lens caps included; Hawke Limited Lifetime Worldwide Warranty)(Packed in reusable hard travel case for safe storage when not in use. )http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00413KACA?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00

An Awesome air gun scope.
This is my third Hawke sidewinder 30 scope. This one is mounted on FX Wildcat .25, my other Hawke sidewinder 30s are on airguns too, one on my Benjamin Marauder .22, and the other on my 1st generation RWS Magnum 350 .22 ( real strong springer, and you know how springers kill scopes). I've used similarly priced springer rated scopes (if you are new to the sport, a springer air rifle will kill a scope fast. If you take the scope off your 30-06 and put it on a springer air gun, you will break the scope within a week, regular scopes are not designed for the back and forth kick of a springer, I have a box of broken scopes which were supposedly springer rated). I have used these Hawke scopes on the most viscious springers the industry has to offer ( UK Webley Patriot .25, RWS 350 Magnum .22, and a Benjamin Super Streak .22, a gun so mean it's a hard to find pellets heavy enough to keep it subsonic).Since I've switched to Hawke optics, my accuracy has made major improvements. I used to blame my misses on myself, wind or an uncomfortable shooting positions. Now those excuses are gone, I can hit quarter sized targets at 100+ yds with the PCPs (pre charge pnuematics), 70 yards with springers. I also don't have to "Sight In" before each session. The Wind is my only excuse for missing now.An added bonus the Hawke optics websight has cell phone apps for calculating pellet ballistics and pellet drop over distance. Another excuse eliminator. Dang it.
