DELL 7YX58 Original Dell Zero-Hours! 600GB 10K SAS 2.5 HD w Tra

As per Amazon listing, these drives are supposed to be *brand new ZERO hours*. I ordered 8 drives from AMTECH, all of them came out to be over 20,000 hours of usage according to SMART info from Seatool, which equates to 3 years of non-stop use, see pictures here. To be sure it's not a Seatool issue, I checked my 1 year old drive SAS drive, and it reported 7000 hours of use. Before I placed the order, I had my colleague message all the Prime sellers, AMTECH replied it is brand new. But here we are with 3 years of use on the drives.I also tested all the drives I received. 1 out of 8 drives failed Seagate Long DST. I don't expect the other 7 drives to last long either, but they're $45 each, so I guess I get what I paid for.I should've give it 1 star, but I added one more star because the price is cheap and you get them fast with seller fulfilled Prime. However my advice to you: (1) Don't expect these to be brand new zero hours (2) Run Seatools on all the drives you ordered

Got 8 of these for my Dell R710 2 years ago and still working. I never got a chance to see if they really had zero hours on them but happy with them. Just now checked to see the price and after 2 years I'm seeing they are like 1/2 the price, so I decided to write this review and purchase 2 as cold spares.

They work as should no errors thus far will buy again

The server did not recognize the drive. Promptly returned for a refund.

These were were an excellent as well as the most affordable solution for populating an OS array on a Dell R420 Server.
