Animal Planet Memory Foam Sherpa Pet Bed, Large

For the price compared to other dog beds....it's fairly decent considering but it's not super great either.I bought this as the picture is very similar to a bed I bought at a local store that I am happy with. The one from the store fits exactly in my large crates and while it is not memory foam (like it and this one claims) but shredded regular foam...it's not bad, my dogs like it fine and it fits where it needs to perfectly.What I got from here was something that was dark brown and not the tan in the picture and that was only the beginning of the differences. It also says it has the the exact measurements of my crate but is about 2 inches short lengthwise from what it claims. The internal is the same shredded foam that the other bed has (not memory foam)...no problem there and the dogs like it fine. I do not like it as well since it doesn't have the dimensions that are claimed.It does ship in a bag with all the air sucked out so it is quite flat when you get it. If you take it out, toss it around a bit, let it sit and toss it around some more it does fluff out but not as nicely as the bed pictured does...I've had it for two weeks now and I think I have hit maximum fluff by now. It does have a zipper in one end for taking the cover off for washing.While I initially gave it 4 stars thinking it was the same bed as from the store...I'm dropping that now considering what I got. Too bad the store doesn't have any more of these beds left.

The Animal Planet Memory Foam Sherpa Bed is a great item, but buyer beware! If you think you are buying a solid piece of memory foam - you will be disappointed. The contents is a broken, crumbled memory foam that shifts around if you move the bed. It still acts and works like memory foam but not to the same degree as a solid piece would. Also, it is really nice for medium to large dogs only - I have a 70# golden retriever and she barely fits on it lengthwise.That being said - I still give it 4 stars because my dog has abandoned her larger memory foam bed in favor of this one! She loves to trample the bed before settling in. So while I was not initially impressed she seems to love it.

This bed is actually not what I was expecting either, but for me it is better! I found it at a sale price of $25.99 last week, and after having 3 beds destroyed by my over-sized puppy in the last few months, I figured that was an ok price for a last attempt bed. It was delivered a couple days ago in a TINY box. Like many other reviews say, it is packaged in a vacuum sealed bag so it appears MUCH smaller than the picture. A few hours later, I had a VERY fluffy bed that my dog would not get off of! Mine was a gorgeous chocolate color (darker than the one pictured) and has held shape very well. I can't speak for the solid piece of memory foam, as I wasn't concerned by that - but I guess if it is what you are expecting it may be a little surprising... Personally, I think the consistency is great. This bed will be supervised use ONLY because I would like to keep it for a long while!

I have a 50 lb. dog and had initially purchased this bed in medium when Groupon had a deal on it. It was selling for 20 dollars in the medium size through Groupon, which, given the fact that the reviews on the bed were pretty negative, I thought was a little risky. As it turns out, my dog loved loved that bed and would lay on it despite the fact that half of his body would fall off of the sides. So we decided to purchase the large, and now he loves that one. (Although he still lays on both.) Although the bed is not a single piece of foam, if you spend some time fluffing the bed then it is very soft and comfortable. And over time it seems that it gains in softness and fluffiness. We have another bed that is made of a single piece of memory foam that was 100 dollars, but my dog spends more time on the other two.

When I first received this product it's was rolled tightly and the memory foam was all broken apart. But no sooner did I hit exchange on Amazon did they have a new one being shipped out already. The new one was perfect!!!!!! It took a day or two to puff up but it's great I have a 110lb Rottweiler who fits perfectly on it then I have a puggle who loves it as well! This is def a good buy for the money!

I read the reviews ahead of time but I was really hoping they were wrong. They weren't : I knew it would be pieces of memory foam and not a block of it because in the past I purchased this exact description of dog bed from a Groupon. It was wonderful and lasted 4.5 years for my dog. Which is why I wanted to repurchase it, my dogs loved it and it was high quality. This bed from Amazon is either not the same (knock off) or Animal Planet is okay with having lowered their standard of quality. Don't waste your time or money. I have added 3 pics. The first 2 are from the Amazon and the 3rd is the one I purchased from Groupon. The amount of stuffing from one to the other is about 2 inches and the stuffing doesn't extend from end to end.

We have three of these beds around the house for the dog. She loves them. When the bed arrives it is vacuum packed. You do have to open it up and kind of break up the memory foam pieces. They are stuck together and very hard. But after leaving it out for a day or so, it becomes very soft and the dog loves them.There is no smell when new and they wear very well. We will use one for a few years and then replace with another one. the bedding does start to pick up the dog/s odor after time. We wash the covers every two weeks. We do buy this item over and over.

my dog, that is.But P.U. BOY was it malodorous when I took it out of the bag.Hope that smell isn't toxic to dogs. Isn't it nice everything in the world is made in China.Air it out before you use it, folks. Otherwise, it fluffs up nicely and appears to be very comfortable.
