Benchmade - Griptilian 551-1 Knife, Drop-Point Blade, Plain Edge, Coated Finish, Gray Handle

I bought this knife because of the upgrades over the regular Griptilian. Solid knife but my only complaint is that the grey G-10 grip is rather slippery. I did not expect this but will keep it anyway due to the beautiful uniqueness of the knife. This Griptilian is a little chunky at 4.34oz (I measured) but shouldn't preclude it being used for EDC( but $$) with jeans or Cargo pants. Also nice to have the clip and blade color being the same--- black. 4.5 Stars

This knife is great but it came with slight centering issue, which is pretty disappointing considering the price of the knife knife. I sent mine off to benchmade and they were more than happy to take it in and fix it. The process is taking longer than I would have liked as well. I guess this review is up in the air pending the return of my knife...

The 551-1 is my first Benchmade, love it, i was hesitant to pay 200$ for a edc but it was worth it, I would have gave 5 stars but it was filthy as hell upon unboxing, great service awsome Griptilian!

Solid knife, quality is superb. Though I should have looked closer to see the inside of the scales are blue, along with the standoffs. A bit blingy, but if that's your thing then this is for you. It's kind of a "thin blue line" theme. Built-wise this knife is insanely well made. Blade perfectly centered, action and lockup are the gold standard for folding knives.

It's a great little knife. I had the regular Griptilian before I got this one and I loved that one too but this one is definitely a step above the regular one. Well worth the money in my opinion. It is part of my EDC.

I honestly don't know what to say. This is the nicest knife I've ever had. Sharp, solid, and just gorgeous. Took a while to break it in but feels so smooth now. Worth the price.

Awesome knive, it's a little stiff at first but after using it for a day it went away. Blade was very sharp right out of the box definitely an upgrade.

Paint started coming off the pocket clip after only two days of carrying it , the color of the handle is more like a very light grey not dark like in the picture this was disappointing ,it looks like a kids toy with the blue trim , the worst part is the set screw will not hold the blade after several times opening it and closing it it feels like it is going to fall off it has way to much play for a benchmade think I might try returning it.
