Only problem is i cant get the radar part to work or let me know when a cop is around and it shut off all the time and i have to reset everything

This camera is a replacement of a old camera of a different brand. I really like that you can see the symbols on the screen to let you know what the buttons are for. It's easy to set up with your phone and you can change the settings on the camera or on your phone.Both came with a adhesive stick on mount which I don't know how long that would last. I used the stick on mount for the rear camera and I bought a mount for my rear view mirror that can swivel. My old camera had a suction mount that would fall off about every month and the camera thought it was in a crash and stop recording. This camera has a separate file for events like this. I also like that you can remove the camera easily because of the magnetic connection for the mount. My wife hit it with her hand the other day reaching for something on the dash and it did not fall, all I had to do was readjust the camera mount that is on a swivel mount. I have not used the talk to camera option yet, but I don't use that option on my phone either.The camera quality is great and it has a little weight to it. The night vision is very good even on the rear camera and I have a tinted rear window. The picture quality is also great.I liked this camera enough that I bought one for my truck.I downloaded the IRadar app that works with the camera but I found out that it has a subscription that I don't really need. I guess if I traveled alot it may be worth it.

I purchased this camera because I really liked the form factor and the visual quality. The camera is solid, the mount is solid and I love the magnetic attach/detach.However 28 days in it’s simply would not boot up anymore. The screen would stay Black even though it showed the power light when it was plugged in. I returned this to Amazon and got another one which was literally dead out of the box. same exact issue though, the power light was on but the screen was Black and it also kept giving a “memory card not detected” error even though I was using the 16GB MicroSD bundled with it and I tried 2 of my own.Very unfortunate because I really liked this thing but now I’ve got to start hunting down yet another dash cam.

The good:The camera sensor on this thing is fantastic. It's a big upgrade over the $50-$100 price range sensors like Uniden. The HDR on this is great for high contrast situations like sunset / night time. It's still not quite good enough to capture most license plates unless you are directly behind a vehicle in stand still traffic, but the technology is definitely getting better than previous generations of sensors, both in clarity and in handling of lighting conditions not conducive for traditional photography.The sticker works great in temperate climates like Pennsylvania. Much better than a suction cup design.The self-contained GPS works well. It detects speeds accurately, with a minimum of lag, maybe 4-5 seconds after a speed change, it picks it up correctly.Now the bad:The wireless in this thing is trash. The app cannot maintain a connection to the phone long enough to do anything useful. The phone often cannot connect to the device.I have flashed the thing with the latest firmware via usb and even then, the wireless is total garbage. In total, I've spent around 3 hours trying to get the wireless connection to actually work from a variety of distances and devices and it just does not work. I'm mostly using a LG V60 and a Samsung S10E, which are premium flagship android phones capable of all modern wireless standards with a great set of antennas. The phones connect to literally everything else I own including some wild Chi-Fi devices, and this is the only device that gives me consistent trouble, and it's a fairly pricey device from a major manufacturer.I do not expect to be able to use the wireless during a crash use case. I expect to have to pull the card and place a replacement card in it. With that expectation in mind, it's not much different than older generations of cameras, so not terrible - but I feel they shouldn't even try if it's going to be this bad of a user experience. I'm an expert level computer scientist who grunted my way up the ranks by doing product support for years and I couldn't get it to work. Your average Joe has 0 chance in heck to not be totally frustrated if they expect the wireless to work.The meh: Sometimes this thing resets while driving. It has an ok failsafe, where it starts back up pretty quickly, but sometimes I look at it and wonder wtf is going on. It happens once in a while, but it's enough to notice. My other cameras tend to not do this.

I have tried several different dashcams and will say this one is the best! I hardwired using the Cobra kit. Video quality is great. Worked so well, I bought a second one for my other vehicle.

has pretty good video/picture quality. the app will not connect at all. radar detector didn't seem to work, passed many speed traps and no notification

I purchased this Cobra dash cam about one year ago ( first time I have ever had one ).... and had the Mazda dealership professionally hard wired it into my car ....It worked great for over a year ..... then it started beeping .... I did the usual looked on line for problem solving etc (put in a new memory card) didn't work .... looked for anyone who fixes dash cams (Nada) everyone wants to put them in but no-one wants to work on malfunction ones .... then I found Scorpios web page for customer service .... called .... a gentleman speaking very clear English answered and walked me thru the whole process of fixing it .... Frankly all it needed was to be rebooted , reset to factory settings .... cleared up perfectly .... he stayed on the phone with me while I got my coat ... keys .... open garage .... started the car .... and explained every step .... Products are only as good as their customer service .... and in today's times when there seems to be so little of it I want to say how wonderful the customer service at Scorpio's dash cam is .... beyond perfect ....So if you are deciding between Scorpio & another brand check out the other brands customer service ....Because Scorpio"s is amazing .....

I have needed an upgrade for my older Cobra Dashcam for quite awhile. And this one is Amazing!! I definitely recommend it to Anyone and everyone.

Got my first cobra delivered fitted it as per instructions did not work contacted suppler they would not help was told to contact Amazon sent it back got a full refundBrought another one same problem sent it back product is rubbish freezes up and restarts all the time
