Insten Battery Charger Compatible with Sony NP-F970 NP-F960 NP-770 NP-F550

I bought this charger to charge the generic batteries I bought for my LED light panels. This charger charges the batteries pretty quick. the only quirk it is does''t like to hold the batteries in place firmly but if you plug the charger in upside down it works great. Over all I can't complain since it was only $5. The car charger plug that comes with it works great and helps me keep my batteries charged while on the road.

Took 5 days from the time of order to delivery. No problem with that time frame. Attached battery and 3 hours later, it was charged. Red charging light turned to green as it is supposed to when the battery is charged. Battery stayed snug in the charger so I don't know why some reviews say it wouldn't stay in the charger. Great price-I compared this charger to a similar one in Wally World and they wanted $28.99-Unbelievable.

I got this charger to go with a couple of batteries I also purchased on Amazon, (two Maximalpower SON NP-F550 Batteries) for a LED light (Neewer CN-126 LED Video Light for Camera or Digital Video Camcorder). I have only used the charger a couple of times and was a little hesitant because of reviews about it being cheap but for the price I said screw it. As is turns out, it's great. I don't mean to say that it does anything extraordinary like cook you breakfast or wash your hair, but for what $5, it charges the batteries and even has a indicator light to tell you when the batteries are charged. If you are looking for an inexpensive charger for your batteries, I highly recommend this charger.

i have used this charger in AC mode a number of times. It works well and I like the light that tells me when it is done. I also like the car charger option, which is one of reasons I bought it, although proper prior planning with respect to the three batteries I have had kept me from using the car charger functionality.

Real piece of junkCharged two batteries, and by the time they needed re-charging the charger won't quit charging correctly.Batteries charged just fine in two hours the first time around.When I went to recharge the batteries a little over a month later, after over 4hrs of charging the light on the charger never went from red to green indicating battery was charged. The charger got quite warm. I put the battery into the flood light and it indicated the battery had a full charge.Good thing these things are cheap. I'll try a different brand.

I own the Sony A200 digital camera. I misplaced my original battery charger. I ordered this one and made a wise investment. This charger unit's light glows red when the battery is charging and turns green when the battery is fully charged. The car car cord can let you charge your battery on the run. This is one feature that the original battery charger didn't have. The price was nice too!!

This charger works perfect. I have used it to charge my LCD screens batteries many times at this point and it still charges fast and like a champ. It doesn't get hot and also doesn't seem to take long to charge the batteries. Perfect for any Field monitor.

It outputs only 600 mA which is very low in relation to the larger size batteries. You end up with significant charging times. The largest batteries have 7 Ah which means it needs 12 hours to charge an empty battery. The other thing to keep in mind is that these chargers rely on the internal protection circuit of the battery. They don't actively monitor voltage nor temperature. The only reason they can get away with it is by keeping the charging current so low. Faster charging rates require smarter electronics that monitor the battery properly. Nothing wrong with have a bunch of these as cheap alternatives, but just know that there are differences between good (fast) chargers and that there is a reason why they are more expensive.The option to charge from a car cigarette plug is a nice feature until you realize you won't be leaving your car running for 8-10 hours just to charge a battery and even during a 2 hour drive you won't be able to get much charge into your battery with this.One little tip to extend the life of your batteries. Lithium batteries age faster the higher they are charged. If you always charge a Lithium battery to 100% it will age faster. If you only charge it to say 80% it will age less and last many many years. Same is true for storage. Don't charge them when you know you won't be using them for a while. Keep them at 30-40% and charge them the day before you need them.

This is really a very good charger, it's quality is on par with Sony original charger but much much better price. It even comes with a car charger, very handy.

Although a generic product, the battery fits in and it works exactly like my original Sony Alpha charger. When you plug it in you will get a bright red/orange light to show that it is charging and when complete it will turn green. Much like the Sony one, it does take hours to charge - when vacationing, I always charged overnight. As shown, the prongs fold down which is handy when not in use - they fit in a socket securely. Overall a great purchase for a fraction of the manufacturer price (as long as you can wait for it to arrive).

You never want to over charge lithium-ion batteries Always charge the battery before use if it has been stored or not used for any length of time, and store in a cool dry location.
