More about general history than theology
I am very ignorant of Druze. Because of current events in Israel, I wanted to know more about them. This series Is interesting but covers generally much more than I expected. It looks at the Druze as much wider ethnicity than a group of nomads within the modern nation of Israel. The author makes no claims of great academic authority or original research--perhaps because there is not much from academics available to the ordinary reader, in English. I wish it was more specific about the particular Druze of Israel.
