Not disappointed for music quality and specially for bass.
Despite some horrible reviews I have read over multiple site, I decide to give this a try solely for the 15H battery life and Audio Technica brand name. So far, I am happy with my purchase solely for the sound quality and the bass but just a bit lacking in treble, imo. It is almost on par with my reference buds Sony WF-1000M3. For my personal bass preferences, it sounds better than Jabra Elite 75t, JBL Live 300 and AKG N400. At $80, definitely not disappointed and plan to buy a second pair if it survives pass the 30 days returns period. I will not be able to testify 15H battery claim and have to take manufacture words for it.So far:- Able to listen to music on my iPhone XS max from 20 feet away through wall without lagging or dropping.- No humming, static or ticking noise when pausing or playing. Maybe these issues have been ironed out and addressed in firmware update.- Very good quality material, finish and workmanship for the price. Definitely better than the plasticky JBL but not as high end as AKG, Jabra and Sony.- Passive noise cancelling is good, not as good as Jabra but better than AKG and JBL. It's a good thing as I can still hear some attenuate incoming traffic when bicycling.A few trade off for the 15H battery life and 10mm driver:- Large, not pocketable friendly case (pictures left to righ, Jabra Elite 75t, AKG N400NC TWS, JBL Live 300, Sony WF-1000M3, Audio Technica ATH-CKS5TWBK)- Bulky earbuds. They stick out a bit more of the earlobe and a bit bigger than AKG and JBL but not as bad as Sony as I experience less wind noise when walking, bicycling in windy days. The Sony wind noise is so intolerable that I can only use it inside or absolute calm day outside.Ran into some issues but able to resolve.- Some discomfort of the 3D loop on the righ earbud after 45 minutes of wearing. However, after twisting and resitting the bud the discomfort disappears.- The left earbud drop off completely when I first receive it. After a convoluted and complicated way of firmware update, the problem is solved.Don't like:- Lengthy, complicated and convoluted ways to upgrade firmware by following the on screen prompt. It is so complicated that I may not remember the exact order. + Both earbuds in the case + Click on left earbud button three times until the white LED blinking. I try several time to make this work. + Take the left earbud off the case. + At some point I have to connect to special Bluetooth reserve mode. + The firmware start to update. + Once complete, repeat some similar steps for the right earbuds except I don't need to click on the right earbud button this time. + From this point on, the instructions are vague and the white LED doesn't blink as expected. Consequently, I have to fiddle around to make it work by a miracle. I hope that I don't have to do this for the rest of its lifetime as I have absolutely no recollection of what and how I get there.- Case is fingerprint magnet.

A steal of a deal!
I just got this yesterday, August 11th, 2022, so this going to be a brief but insightful read. Plus I'll update my review, as time goes on. So, for now, I hope you can glean something from these words I share. I always like to preface that I purchased this unit out of my pocket. No (it'd be nice if it were so, but for now, my investments are my own, if that makes any sense) donations here. So my opinions and summary of this product is an honest breakdown of this ATHCKS5TWBK TWS. Well, here we go. Or, here I go. This IEM was originally priced at $99, I believe, down to $75. A deal in my book, for what your getting. I expected the IEM to be huge, based on what it looked like in the photos, but to me, they were far from being large. In fact, they may a little small for my gigantic ears which swallow everything that's inserted in them. I'm still working on the fit. I have a number of varying-sized silicone tips of my own, mostly purchased from Spin Fit, a brand I like. Especially the double flange tips, used with canals that are short that need a little extension, they usually work for me. I'm using them as I'm typing, and “my o my” am I quite chuffed with their performance. Particularly because the song that's playing currently is loud and extremely bass heavy. So their range, how deep they can go with the bass frequency. Specs say they can go down as far as 5hz. Boy, they’re demonstrating that, right now.In the box there is a USB and USB A (think that’s the right description, mini A) mini, silicone tips, small, medium, and large. Plus two sets of silicone fins, for creating an even tighter fit in your ear. A plastic charge and travel case, basic things nothing special about it. It serves its purpose, and that’s to charge the IEMS, nothing more. It’s nice when a little thought is put into the presentation of the product, with the quality of materials used on the IEMS, down to the box the IEMS come in. One of the prettiest sets I own is the TFZ X1E. The case is beautiful, like a piece of jewelry, that can sit next to your Faberge egg. Somewhat similar to the Mifo’s, but smaller, well built, they fit nicely into one's ear. And, it had decent battery life, about 6 to 7 hours. The battery on these (Audio Technica) buds is no joke. I’ve seen for myself how long the batteries can last. Which is a feat I have not seen any other (or I’m not familiar with) brand accomplish. I got somewhere between 12, to 15 hours, at least. Can’t go wrong there, can ya? Nope! The best detail about the charging case is that I can keep my tips on the IEMS, without it preventing the top from closing. Something I’m very relieved about. Having to remove the tips in order to get the IEMS to fit in the case, is a pain to the derrière. Right now I have what I need to spend a few days with the IEM. I’ll make updates as I go along. I'll be back.

My favourite earbuds
Great buds, they sound as expected from audio technica. A little bulky but well build. Battery life last long. I use them more indoors. There are not the best for outdoor activities.

Great wireless earbuds, good bass indeed!
I bought these as a replacement for my Pioneer SE-CH9T(earbuds, wired). In the pass, ive had a pair of Audio-technica (ATH-m50, wired) so I knew they are making great products. Sound wise, I would say that I was a little disappointed with the audio spectrum though. The bass is indeed well defined and powerful, the mid range is ok, I would say, but the higher frequencies are not on par with with my previous earphones, either Pioneer, or ATH-M50. Overall, the sound is king of muffled, you clearly hear it whenever a cymbal kicks in, it doesn't sound as rich and clear as it should.Another thing to mention. After only about 3 months of using them, the left bud totally died. Impossible to charge anymore, the battery was just dead. I reach out to Audio-Technica, because they were still on warranty. In less than a week, they sent me a completely new pair, charge and hassle free! So kudo to their customer service!

Solid bluetooth headphone, huge bass adequate detail
Let me start by saying that im a big audio technica fan and i own every single es/esw series (all limited editions). When these are released. I'm hoping something on par with esw-9 sound quality but its not there yet. Edit: after few hours break in, sound characteristic changed slightly still rather too much bass, but treble's open up a bit though not as sparkly in comparison to similar headphone at this price range. The bass though, if you listen to hip hop these would be amazing fit1. Good fit and good isolation (i have small ears).2. Amazing battery life, class leading3. Good connectivity4. Solid build quality (above average)5. Decent sound quality:Bass takes too much emphasis, mids is adequate, high frequencies has good extension but some portion of it is muffled (i.e string instrument is detailed enough can maintain good sustain but lack some extension, snare drums lacks tiny bit of crispness).6. Audible background hissOverall Its a good headphone but i think price knock it off 1 star. But then its early attempt at high end bluetooth
