Cost-effective juicer that does the job
I was shopping for a juicer which would fit in my budget (juicers are available from $50 all the way to $1500) and has good reviews and that's when I came across this product. I don't intend to use it everyday so I was not looking for a commercial - grade stainless steel machine. I received the juicer today and inaugurated it with Carrot, Celery and Orange. Following is my opinion about this juicer:1. Yield - The juice yield is pretty good as you can see form the carrot pulp image. Same for celery and orange as well. The juice does contain little bit of pulp which is how I like it so no complaints.2. Operation - I didn't face any issue with celery as it is has rough texture which gets caught in the auger easily. However, the issue with carrot is that its not only hard but also has a soft texture so it slips/bounces a lot in the feed unless you apply pressure and force it into the auger. I don't know if its just the way it is or if there is any issue with the auger design. If the auger had some sort of gripping feature (something similar to what we see in scrap metal shredders), may be it could solve this issue. I had to cut carrot into long vertical slices as the flat side helps in getting caught in the auger.3. Cleaning - Depends on the juice ingredients. If you use carrot, then you have to use the brush to clear the conical metal mesh especially near the converging end where the holes are pretty small. No dishwasher is going to clean it. I didn't see that issue with celery and orange.4. Stain - As you can see from the image, just after one use, there is significant staining of the juicer parts. If this is a known fact, then why would you release a product which is white in color? Since it doesn't affect the working of the machine, I am not taking off a star. It would be great if this product was available in a different color. I have soaked the parts in warm water and vinegar, hope it removes the stain.Overall I am happy with this purchase but its my first use of the product. I will update my review after few months.

GREAT first juicer!
I decided to try juicing to see if it would make a significant difference in my lifestyle. After reading reviews for 31 juicers in and out of my desired price range, I decided on this one. I really wanted an Omega or Hurom but decided it would be much smarter to start off with one that isn't as expensive that has a good reputation for getting the job done. I've noted that the "Megawise" is the same machine rebranded several times and also took note of the fact that no matter what it was branded it has solid reviews - so that's where I landed. This machine is easy to set up (intuitive), the instructions are good if you need them, and it doesn't take up that much counter space (I guess that would depend on your counter). It juices very well - pulp was pretty dry, feeds nicely (I rarely use Reverse), is easy to clean (between 5 - 13 minutes, depending on if I want to run a sink of soapy water or simply soap up the sponge and brush and clean it under hot running water. The parts feel solid, it has a nice weight, and I enjoy using it. I've juiced greens (spinach, kale, chard, dandelion greens, mint) and got good juice from them. I've also juiced tomatoes, grapes, blueberries, pineapple (all the time), oranges, lemons, grapefruit, carrots, beets, celery, cucumber, pomegranates, and a few other things I can't remember right now. It's handled everything easily. The trick with the softer fruits and vegetables is to let the chute clear and not load it up. Also, it's good to follow with a complementary harder fruit or vegetable. So I've now been juicing for 5 weeks consistently and have easily decided that I will keep it up. I've lost weight (not what I was trying to do but I'll take it), lowered my blood pressure, and just overall feel more energetic and astute. I bought this one planning to upgrade to one of the "name brands" if I decided to keep it up. I may buy an Omega vertical but I'm keeping this one and using it until it decides it no longer wants to work for me. It's a worthwhile purchase with far more benefits than I expected. Is there something I don't like about it...? I'll have to use it some more and get back to you on that one.

Premium Performance
The media could not be loaded. Pros:This machine is as good as the expensive brands without a doubt. Overall functionality, fit, and finish is easily higher than its price point. The motor is SUPER quiet. Easy assembly, easy push button operation, and great juice extraction. The pulp is pretty dry, better than any of the 6 or so juicers ive owned over the 22 yes Iāve been juicing. Pulp, which was always an issue with any juicer Iāve owned in the past be it $100 or $500 juicer is at a very bare minimum. See posted pictures. I juiced an entire pineapple and a grapefruit for this review. These two fruits are always problematic with clogging and low juice yield in my other juicers and Iām happy to report this is NOT the case with the Megawise. Iād always felt wasteful juicing these two fruits but after yielding nearly 40 ounces of juice (2 20 oz Mason Jars), Iām really impressed. Easy disassembly and a lot less time consuming to clean than any other juicer Iāve owned has me not at all disappointed.Cons:The only cons I can see is the narrow chute. Thereās a bit more prep involved as youāll need to cut the produce into smaller chunks. To me, this is a very small issue as the quality and yield this thing gives out is beyond amazing. Another con, and this is with EVERY juicer is onboard cord storage. It would be great to have some mechanism or onboard storage of the cord, but again, Iām really not picking here.Bottom Line:This is a very premium juicer at an upper low range price. Iāve owned an Omega that cost me more than triple this juicer and the Megawise keeps pace or exceeds the premium performance of the top brands. I still cannot stress how clear and pulp free the juice is but the most important detail is the juice yield. Iām still shocked how much came out. Iāve never had this good of juice from these machines as I have with the Megawise.
