AMES 2853600 4-Tine Forged Steel Cultivator

I used this to assist with removing weeds from my back yard it worked fabulously...I got it done so quickly...

I can't truly complain, as the cultivator is as described and pictured, and the handle is strong with a nice grip; however, I was hoping the tines would be heavier. I'll try it as it is, but it could become a handle donor to the old, heavier tines. Time will tell.

It was exactly fitting for my physical challenges.

This is a very well made cultivator. The head is hard forged in Austria and the handle is solid Ash. The all important connection between the two has been rock solid after a good pounding thru the Summer. It does not appear that the head can be easily removed and put on another handle if the handle breaks. The ferrule does not have a screw or any other visible fastener. However, I'm pretty sure that barring getting run over by a truck, this cultivator will last a long time. I found the finish on the Ash handle to be a little rough when I received it, but some 220 production paper took care of that.

I am impressed with this so far and hope it holds up. Will use it more often than a garden rake now because smaller size means more precise raking. Have a flatter compost pile so used this to turn over some of it.Seems well made. I like the gripper on the end of the handle.

The quality of this rake is outstanding. If you need one buy this brand.

Just right for my small raised beds.

I have other AMES brand tools and they last a long time. We do alot of yard work and they are strong and have been used extensively with regular and heavy duty work such as pulling out weeds.
