CPU temp issues?
Edit: Gigabyte has updated their CPU compatibility list to include the A6-7400K. That being said, I purchased an Asus a88x board to replace the Gigabyte one and had no problems with temps on the Asus. Maybe I got a bad board?I picked up this mobo because the price point and features were nice. Being my first build, I neglected checking the manufactures website for compatibility with my chosen APU (A6-7400K). The socket matched and the mobo popped up in the "what other customers purchased" sub header when shopping for my APU so I assumed I was good. Nope. At idle it was over-volting the APU at like 1.43v with an idle temp of 60-70 Celsius. Yikes! There was no way to change the base voltage in the Bios. An option is there but it never accepted a manual input only automatic increases. After some research I found this is a problem with some Gigabyte Mobos. 2014 version bios no manual input for voltage, 2013 version bios change it to whatever you please. It was my fault for not checking the website. Otherwise I think this is a decent board.

You really can't go wrong with this board, especially at this price.
I bought this board when I needed to put together a budget machine recently. I paired it with an AMD A10-7700 and 16GB of Gskill DDR3 1866 (was cheaper than 2133 and I wasn't concerned with graphics).I've always had good luck with Gigabyte Motherboards and they are one of the few brands I trust. The Good. This board, while basic, provided everything I needed. I know some people may mark it down for not offering a lot of overclocking options, but I don't overclock. We have HDMI out which for some reason other boards in this price range leave off.The board includes a legacy PCI slot, which is nice if you want to add an older but still usable PCI sound card or NIC.The BadThe PCI-e x1 slot is too close to the x16 slot. If you do put a graphics card in, even some single slot cards, you will lose access to the x1 slot. I currently use that slot for an Intel gigabit NIC and later may want to add a graphics card either for gaming or folding at home and my choices will be limited by this. The board includes a realtec gigabit connector. It does work. On connections of 4 to 6 ft it had no problems. When I moved the machine to it's final destination and plugged in the 30ft CAT 5e cable it did not connect. Adding a PCI-e Intel NIC solved this.In closingI've had the system up for a month running Ubuntu 14.04 and a couple virtual machines. So far, no issues, it is exactly what you want in a motherboard. You plug everything into it and forget about it.

There is a defect in the onboard audio. Everything else is fine.
I'm useing this motherboard for a budget gaming PC. The case is an old Compaq Micro ATX case. So far so good with everything except for RAM speed. I'm using one 8GB Kingston HyperX 2400MHz stick and I can't seem to get the RAM speed past 1600MHz. If your questioning about the compatiablity of the A8-7600, I can confirm that it is fully compatible. I needed to point this out as some users reported that this APU was not running stable with this motherboard. This was not the case for me.Why did I take off a star? Some of the connectors are not located in convenient locations. The system fan connector is located towards the bottom of the board while the CPU fan connector is located right next to my case fan. Because of this, the fan cables are very close to the CPU fan. Some other connectors responsible for the front panel peripherals are a little far from the front panel of the case. It's just hard to get proper cable management with this board.ConclusionThis motherboard is great for a budget entry gaming PC when combined with the right APU. Once I get my RAM speeds up, there should be some great performance of APU-based graphics.Update: I finally got the RAM speed up. I'm new to the whole UEFI BIOS. and things are laid out differently. I'm starting to like it better than a tradition BIOS. I hope this motherboard holds it's gut for the long run.Update 2: I don't know why but the motherboard keeps thinking that the audio cable was disconnected causing me to get this annoying pop up saying the audio cable was disconnected. The funny thing though: The audio is perfectly fine. It's almost like the drivers are glitched out. This is the first time I've had a motherboard do this. I will be updating the review if more problems appear.Update 3: Neither of the fron't audio jacks are working now. The back audio jacks are still acting the same was as described in Update 2. Everything else, perfectly fine? I don't even know. There is something really wrong with the soundcard on this board though. If your thinking of using analog audio devices, get a sound card as this motherboard's onboard audio just sucks. Therefore, I'm removing another star.

Inexpensive motherboard with all necessary ports for a decent PC build - Update still 5 stars
Update:3 Years old and still going strong. Used 24x7 as a file server. Lightning hit near by about 18 months ago and fried this and a z270 motherboard in a desktop pc. Gigabyte repaired the motherboard and returned it to me within a week. Super good service! Also the Pcie 3.0x16 slot runs at full 3.0 speed, tested with 3.2GBs Nvme with an x4 adapter.8 SATA are you kidding?Great value when paired with and A8-7600. Makes a very responsive and inexpensive PC. It has been running almost non-stop for several days without any problems. Have tried Windows Vista 64 which is no longer supported by Microsoft and Knoppix 7.6. Vista is extremely old and did not have 2 drivers available and I am certain that Windows 10 will run just as good as Knoppix 7.6 (Linux). Made an inexpensive 270 dollar pc with a 40 dollar case (includes powersupply), 8gb ram, 4 to 8 pin motherboard power adapter, extra case fan, A8-7600, this motherboard, and a few other this and thats. I did not buy an Operating System because I will be running Linux. I have used it to browse the web, do spreadsheets, word processing and other tasks. If I ever play games the x16 version 3 expansion slot (FM2+ CPU) will come in handy. This review is of a 70 dollar general use motherboard and not a 200 dollar gaming motherboard.

Good MB for a low end PC.
Bought this to upgrade an older PC (Athlon II 260)- which was again a Gigabyte MB which never gave any problems . Latest configs were costing a lot. So paired this with AMD A6-7480, reusing old DDR3 ram, cabinet etc. Ok for low end desktop.FM2 MB and CPU are now difficult to get, outdated but, Ryzen & Intel iX configs are costing a bomb.

A perfect board
I’ve been assembling my own computers for a long time. These days I do everything with Linux, so I needed a computer that was compatible. I’ve read good things about the AMD A10 series, so that determined the motherboard with fm2+. I also wanted the micro-atx format so I would have a smaller case. Then, this board was on special, so I took it. I used to use the specialist computer sites, but now Amazon has everything. Putting it together, I found the first motherboard was bad. This takes a lot of effort to find out, but a simple PC speaker is essential for beep code. Amazon felt my pain, and shipped out a new board immediately, and I could return the bad one at my leisure. Fantastic service! The second one was perfect, and everything works. If you are assembling and nothing works, it is almost 90% the board.

great budget board.
older board.. but works great. poped it right in and swapped parts for a bricked HP board that ram an FM2. worth every peny.as far as its general capabilities for the curious.. if u ran a cpu in the hogh end of the compat8bility list and put about 8+ ram with a good GPU.. like a rx480 or better yet, gtx1060 6g, this thing would work great for just about all general applications and new games. just dont expect to run 4k on 3 screens ya know. gotta aim for higher end parts. but yea one screen and all that and this board could be a gaming rig easy... just just a good home pcother then that, my gaming rig runs a i7 2600 and a r9 270x gpu with 8gb ddr3 and works just fine. could be a better gpu but w/e.

Good Motherboard
The motherboard is good, working fine with AMD A8 7680 processor and 2 X 8 GB DDR3 Ram. It is a genuine Gigabyte motherboard, manufactured in September 2021 and supports AMD A series processors compatible with FM2/FM2+ Socket.

Good motherboard for office work and video streaming.
Received motherboard today as my 07 year gigabyte fm2+ ga-f2a68hm-s1 motherboard not giving any output. Installed this motherboard and now my pc is working smoothly without reistalling new operating system as old operating system in ssd is working properly.
