An unused CR2032 battery has a use-by range of about 10 years. I bought this exactly three years ago and only used it once, then put it in the cupboard. It's now dead. I don't know if the battery that came with it was old or poor quality, or if there is some undetected drain on this scale, but that shouldn't have been the case. The CR2032 battery in my car key fob is used daily and has been working since 2015. So I would say to buy a new battery when it arrives so you don't find a dead scale one day when you need it. There is also no way to calibrate this and it's sometimes off (rarely reads 0), so before weighing something, make sure you know the starting weight. Otherwise it's a nice compact scale suited for small things.

I will update my review. So the product itself is good, its accuarte in measuring and quite light weight so easy to tuck away in your kitchen. It is not waterproof in the slightest so keep water away, maybe use a very damp cloth when having to clean it. I believe i recieved a defective one as it stopped working when i cleaned it with a damp cloth. But their customer service went above and beyond to resolve my issue. After i got a new one and tried it out it seems to work quite well. The con of this product though is since its small you need a small bowl to measure food. For example, you will not put your dinner plate on it otherwise you wiull not be able to see the screen, so you put a small bowl and weigh on that bowl and transfer from the bowl over to your dinner plate. But thats to be expected since this is a more compact design. The price is fair also. Id recommend this to others especially since thier customer support seems to care about their product.

Delivery of this item was fast. Scale is accurate up to 2 decimals, if you are looking for weighing card packs I would not recommend this but for food stuff, this is awesome. Battery uses is a watch battery, wished it was using AAA battery
