Great For Kids But Also WWII Plane Lovers Who Aren't Model Builders
Reviewing this from my moms account after she got me this for Christmas, I'm a huge history buff, mostly about WWII, and recently got sucked into WWII aircraft, mostly American. The idea of a cute B-17 model was something I felt to die for. I'd sacrifice my lack of model building skill just to have it. When I did get it for Christmas, I was surprised to find I didn't need any model adhesive at all. It is a model made for kids, but part of me didn't think I wouldn't need glue. All of it is just a "click this part into this part" and done. Very simple to put together, and the end result is super cute. It even has a bomb chamber with little bombs. If you aren't a model builder, then this is a pretty easy piece, from both Meng and this other company called TIger Models. They both produce cute plane models of WWII aircraft. (Tiger Models, though, you will have to paint some parts).

A good model let down by vinyl decals. It is a good entry level model for beginners that can be taken farther with a few upgrade
This is a pretty cool model but not of the same quality as their tank line. The details are really good and it goes together easily. The big let down is the decals. Instead of the standard waterslides, they ship heavy vinyl. This is great if you are new to modeling but the finish suffers. I ended up painting mine instead of using them. The clear bubble parts are a nice addition but the panel lines on them are low relief so they are harder to paint.

Quick, fun, cute
Excellent snap together kit. The plastic comes in two colors and it could be assembled quick without paint but I decided to add a little more detail. It’s a really fun and cute plane and I will be buying more

Frustrating for a "serious" piece
The price is hard to beat, but for anyone looking to do a "serious" job with this kit, you might want to stay away. The fit is pretty poor - expect to be using filler to close up gaps - but worse, the "decals" in this kit are stickers. So no matter how meticulously you prime and paint, if you decal is even a millimeter off, you can expect to yank up your paint coat as you try to reposition it, and then you're back to square one. Best as a toy.
