only includes natural sweeteners like Stevia that won't spike your glycemic index...
The Legion Gensis Green Superfood Powder is exactly what we were looking for to make our Nutri Bullet Blasts. We originally added it into our mixture of organic spinach, kale, and romaine greens with organic frozen berries, and organic avocado with natural almond butter, or nuts along with Flaxseeds, and coconut oil with a few other ingredients. Then we slowly added more powder and less of the greens etc. I ask my husband if he was ready to try it alone and he agreed to try it. I put in a hand full of ice, then the filtered water, almost to the water line then Genesis. We loved it all by itself. Needless to say just the cost of the organic greens, fruits etc can get expensive just the three kinds of greens alone you buy 2 times a week. If you average the cost to $4.5 per container of the 3 types of greens that is $13.5 and multiply that by 2 times a week that would be $27 for one week. There are at least 4-5 weeks in a month, so just say 4 times $27 equals $108. One container of Genesis contains way more than 3 organic greens. The ingredients are organic which is important when it comes to greens and other products we eat straight from the ground after being washed. Their Genesis gives us a balance of all the things we need along with many more greens with no loss of the fresh ingredients that we get when we buy it all fresh that they "focus on select plants, fruits, and vegetables that can provide several key benefits particularly important to people living an active lifestyle, such as: Improving physical and mental performance;Increasing energy levels; Decreasing feelings of anxiety and fatigue; Increasing feelings of well-being and vitality; Protecting heart and circulatory health; Promoting faster recovery; Boosting immunity and longevity." One canister lasts a month for one person for $34.95-$45.95. So, for the two of us, it costs $69.90-$91.90 for us to have Genesis smoothie from our Nutri Bullet for breakfast each morning. Yes, you read that correctly...it costs less than just the 3 organic greens, and if you read the list of ingredients they put into Genesis and what you get from each of those ingredients you can plainly see that it is a huge savings (not counting the loss of fresh vegetables you would have to add in buying extra because of). Then if organic matters to you it is all organic, only includes natural sweeteners like Stevia that won't spike your glycemic index (sugar spike) and Genesis is made right here in the USA. As someone who is disabled, I greatly appreciate all of this, because it means fewer trips and stuff to carry from store to home that I may have to go back to replace the parts that go bad. If you are used to eating greens smoothies you will enjoy the smoothies even more from Genesis!

Good idea, but it's execution made me sick. Had to return product. :(
I really want to be able to recommend this product, as Legion has never let me down before, but I cannot in good conscience do so. I was very excited about this product development, but this one DID end up being too good to be true for me.Short Review: tastes like liquified grass with Stevia; made me physically ill within 10 minutes (no exaggeration). Returning today.In-depth Review: Upon opening this product, you will notice the smell immediately: mulched greens. Literally reminded me of a fresh-cut lawn as if I were face-down in it - maybe it tastes better than it smells? This was my first problem. With Pulse and Recharge, products I still use now and again, the flavoring was easily enough to justify mixing and drinking the product. THIS product stresses that is "naturally flavored and sweetened," but has no "set" flavor (like, "Sour Apple"). If by "naturally flavored" you mean tastes like grass and "sweetened" by "we put a marginal amount of sweetener in so it won't taste completely like grass," then sure. But with the previous 2 mentioned, I didn't have to mix them with anything other than water to get the proper effect. Mix this with water, and you're drinking algae. Maybe if I mixed it with something with a stronger flavor palette it wouldn't be so completely overpowered?Maybe try it for a few days, see how you feel. Nope. Sick every time. Could not finish drinking a single serving, even when mixed with other vegetables and fruits. Sorry guys, this one isn't for me.Now, you could argue that maybe my body was lacking all of these essential nutrients so badly that it just pulled the evacuation switch, but I make sure to get my vegetables and proteins every day. In fact, perhaps, this just isn't the product for me because I do not need it. If you have difficulty getting clean, raw vegetables into your diet daily, this MAY be an option for you, if you can put up with the intense taste, possible nausea, and belching it up for at least the next 2 days. This guy, however, is returning it.It is not something that I can see myself working into a regimen. It just tastes too awful to me, and this is from a guy who drinks quite a bit of green drinks. For now, I cannot recommend it until Legion makes a serious change in the flavor palette. Nothing against the ingredients or the thought behind it (it IS a really good idea), but for me, it has to be more palatable to be used on a wider scale. Sorry guys. But then again, that could just be my body type. ;) Not every product works for everyone.
