Huot 11700 Combination Jobber Length Drill Bit Index for Sizes 1/16" to 1/2" in 1/64" Increments, A to Z, and #1 to #60

This is a nice heaven duty drill index not only that but easy to read printed not punched size locations

Years ago, I bought really cheap drill set from Harbor Freight. I've struggled with it since and have replaced many of the bits with quality bits. Recently, I saw a Youtube video on this very index, liked what I heard, and ordered it. The quality is superb. The changeover from the old index to this one was quite simple, and the difference in quality was readily apparent. I also like the extra info printed on this. It lists common tap and thru drills for various bolts. While I've memorized a number of them, it's a nice reference without having to google the proper drill. This is a ten out of ten. It's easier to read the drill sizes, and it includes the decimal equivalent of each one. I also like that the way the side indexes move. I do need to order a #2 center drill now, to complete the set.

Drill index for Fraction, Wire Number, Letter Drills. This index box is nice heavy gauge steel I just wish the indexes themselves had been just a bit thicker stock, not exactly flimsy but just way less of a quality stamped out part than in a vintage drill index dating back to my Grandpa, I know this is too much to ask these days but being able to compare a similar product from way back when makes you wish they had spent an extra 10 cents and made the thing out of better materials.Despite my rant this is a great box to store your bits in, way better than tossing them in the bottom of a drawer and having to pick through them to find the one you want.

My drill bits have always been in a disarray. I Finally have a decent holder for my bits. Some reviews say that the drill labeling is on the wrong side ... from my point of view the labeling is on the correct side! My only gripe is that for my use, I would like separate cases for the "normal" bits, and another case for tap and machinist bits.

This may be a drill index, but this is a throw back to quality tools of days gone by! I'm 72 and I've been around tools since my early teens, as dear old dad was a carpenter. It is not cheap, but worth every cent.

I like the tap reference guide. Also, doesn't seem to waist a lot of space in the box.
