great product and stellar customer service
I ended up putting two of these hoops together using the metal tubes that came with the shipment, so they stand higher over the garden planter. The wind is not very strong where I live but they seem sturdy for the two months that I've had them. I draped a fine mesh over this and using binders to hold it in place on the hoops. Its working really nicely. One of the rods had snapped when I opened the package. I contact customer service and they sent me a replacement (a few extra in fact) right away...fantastic response and amazing customer service!

excellent hoops
I found this hoop to be excellent for my garden. Two together was large enough to protect my blueberry bush with netting. A single hoop was the right size for my brussel sprouts cover cloth. The first order I received came with some hoops apart and 1 inch ends were broken off. I was still able to use them. I liked them enough to order another set. Some of them easily came apart following the video instructions. Others would not come apart without pulling with pliers. My husband opened most of them for me. It was easier for him than it was for me. I understand the difficulty people had opening them, but they can be pulled apart eventually.

Constantly breaking-Texas heat/wind
I’ve tried using 3 and 4 fiberglass poles to make a tall arc. Wouldn’t stand up to the wind. Metal connector tubes bent in half, making them useless. Fiberglass would also just break at the edge of the connector.. At least I could pop out the broken fiberglass, but sometimes the break was so splintered, I couldn’t fit the busted end into the metal connectors. I have half of the rods with unusable ends, and therefore can’t connect. I also have 4 bent connectors that I can’t use.Made the poles into smaller arcs, and same problem. I’ve tried spacing the anchors 4-6 feet apart as recommended, and then 8 feet apart to see if that would relieve any tension on the fiberglass, and same problem.Bought some last year late in the season, but didn’t put up because I didn’t have enough to cover the garden beds like I thought. Ordered 2 more this year to complete the project. To keep my plants from burning in the midday Texas sun, the arcs/hoops are used as a base for lightweight shade.I don’t know if it is the extreme heat and wind here, or just poor manufacturing. Tent poles are made of fiberglass and they just don’t randomly break when I am camping. Maybe I will try buying those instead.Wish I hadn’t wasted my time and money on this.PS Oh, and DON’T store in your garage in a circle, connected, like they come in the box (once you cut off the zip ties). They randomly come undone and shoot metal connectors like bullets, and the fiberglass snaps hard as it unfurls.

Dangerous!!!!
I really wanted to love the product. It is very sturdy and longer than most. The problem is while assembling if you let go of the rod it will smack you in the face or eyes. And if you lose the little white insert that goes into the spikes, the rod will slide and no longer be secure and you'll still get smacked in the face by the rods if the come loose. If you attempt to adjust and are not careful, the rod can come out of the ends and smacked you in the face. My children and myself have all been smacked in the face. One of them almost got hit in the eye and got hit under the eye. They are pre-teens and are scared to go near these darn things. The rods sting really bad and hurt for a while. Rather you have small children or not this is a dangerous product for anyone to use.

Multiple orders, no problems - great product
Over several years I have ordered 4 sets of these hoops. All were received in perfect condition and have stayed that way several seasons into use for the first sets. I had no problem removing the hoops from the piece of metal holding them in a circle by following the simple printed and video instructions I don’t attach two hoops to double the length and only use them with netting to keep critters away from the plants in my raised beds. I wonder if the doubling trick or using them to hold up a heavier fabric could put too much stress on the hoops. My plants have been flourishing since I’ve found a successful way to keep the bunnies and deer away.

Don’t seem durable
The hoops do a great job. However they aren’t heavy duty. To ship these, they bend them into a circle and connect them with a metal piece. While they still in shipping mode, 2 of the ends snapped off and a couple the others look bent at the ends.

Easy to use and effective
We love our Swat - n- Scoop. It is easy to use and some how the flies and bugs do not see it coming and SWAT - N -SCOOP. A great name for a great product. We have one in our motor home and one in our house, easy access and good by bugs. I hate having to pick up bugs. I really like the scoop, no touching, no mess! Thank you Swat - N - Scoop. Michael

They were great until they weren't
I put these in my raised garden bed about 3 weeks ago and put a netting over them. I had no problem or difficulty putting them in since the bed is just over 2' wide. I went out this morning and one of the rods had snapped in half and tore my netting. I can only think the heat/sun must have caused it to snap because they are in direct sun and it's gotten to 100 degrees out. I cannot return them because I would have to pull out all the remaining rods and reset the net and try to clean them up and pack them. I will if another one breaks but I don't see an option to just get one replaced. Maybe the seller can let me know. Disappointed because they were very easy to put in and they seemed sturdy.

Worked well
The only warning I would provide for this is - do not leave the hoops sealed in the bag and outside on a very hot day. I found the set had either broke out of the clips or just broke at the clips that hold them in a circle for packaging. They were still all quite usable, but some were slightly shorter after the event. I have used them for holding shade fabric with clips and they have worked well so far.

Packaging is terrible
The rods seem sturdy and will likely last, but their shipping method is horrible using the metal connectors to create way too tight rings. Even compressing the hoops, there was no way any of them would release. I had to twist and force them apart and two of them cracked in the process (still can be used as long as those ends are in the ground. Come on! Just use tape!!!!

Great quality! Bought two
I bought the 6 hoops with the pegs. That were a breeze to set up and the pegs make sure the hoops don't move and give them some extra hight. I used clothes pegs to easily secure the netting. Loved them so much I bought a second immediately in case they ran out!

after the blood - ok
these come as a hoop that you pull apart - wear gloves - then pull with force - tore my thumb up - 10 min to get the bleeding to stop - after that - product is ok
