The Broken Token Game Organizer Compatible with Spirit Island - Wooden Game Organizing Box with Multiple Trays

This insert will hold the Spirit Island base game as well as the Jagged Earth and Branch & Claw expansions. Assembly, including drying time for Elmer's wood glue, took the better part of an afternoon but was actually kinda fun to put together. Broken Token recommends using a rubber mallet but I have found a gently used small tack hammer works better on Broken Token inserts that I have assembled in the past. Once completed the entire insert is too large to fit in the Spirit Island box. However if you layer it as shown on the last page of the assembly instructions it fits perfectly into the Spirit Island and Jagged Earth boxes (which are the same dimensions). Just start putting the insert into the Spirit Island box per the instructions and when it gets to the top finish by putting the remainder into the Jagged Earth box. Finally put in the instruction manuals for Spirit Island and the two expansions. Even including the three instruction manuals, both boxes close completely flush. Absolutely no elevation gap in either one. I just threw away the Branch & Claw box. I would recommend keeping the assembly instructions with the game so you will know how to fit all the insert parts back into the individual boxes. Like all Broken Token game inserts the quality is top-notch.

While it's still a functional organizer, the company's quality control is slipping. Of the 12 boards that made up the pieces of the organizer, 2 of them were thin particle board, instead of proper MDF sheets. They also eliminated the handy player aid that was originally printed/burned into the Fear tray, replacing it with their company logo. Not impressed with the direction they are going, so this is the last organizer from them I'll be purchasing.

The pieces didn’t fit together, we had to cut off piece so we could get everything flat. If we tried to put it to the side of the “lip” it was too far to the side.Majority of pieces we had to cut as the pieces didn’t come out even.We have put these organizers together from other brands with no issue. Super frustrating and disappointing. Would not recommend this organizer and we won’t be purchasing from this brand in the future.

The etching on sheet 4 is bad. 4A-4F and 4L have print, but 4G-4K do not. Another reviewer noticed this problem - so it’s a recurring problem with some of these in stock. I’ve reached out to Broken Token support for a new sheet 4.

Don’t recommend. Got as a Christmas gift and does not even come close to fitting in the box. I would skip this product.
