VELCRO Brand Sleek and Thin for Fabrics Tape, Sew on, 6 Ft x 3/4 in, White

I use this Velcro for sewing doll clothes. Normal Velcro is too thick, stiff, and bulky for such small clothes, so you need light weight stuff like this. I’ve bought this twice now. It doesn’t feel cheap or weak, and it’s easy to sew through on a machine. At the width this comes in, I cut it in half lengthwise and get twice as much for the money. The width of the Velcro when cut in half is shown in the video, so you can see it’s more than enough for dolls and you get plenty for the money.

Exactly what I was looking for. Bought to replace buttons on a white dress for my elderly mother. She could no longer use the buttons. The velcro is soft so I don't have to worry about it being irritating against her skin. Also sticks together very well. Will purchase again.

Night and day difference between aftermarket hook-n-loops and Velcro, the low profile and gentler hooks on the main brand stuff makes me believe in main brand quality. The aftermarket stuff was gripping too hard, but more importantly, losing hooks with regular use. I've undone and pressed my current set 50+ times and it's just as perfect as it was before, the loop/fluffy part is also nicer on the feel. It's such a marginal cost increase that I encourage you to go with the original and authentic creators of this product cause going with the aftermarket junk the hooks will eventually fall out or lose strength!

The velcro is softer and more flexible than others. It was perfect where I wanted velcro that was easy to separate for a craft project.

Pretty good for doll clothes. The strips are rather wide if you're working on a small scale. It is easily sewn into place with a sewing machine (didn't test by hand) and seems to have a good hold.

I wanted to use this to attach fabric panels to the inside of a glass cabinet door. Adhesive adhered to fabric really well, but not as well to the wood cabinet door. Admittedly, I attached at both top and bottom of fabric panel so the fabric was kept taut. Perhaps the taut pressure caused it to detach from door. I ended up having to hammer some tacks to secure it. If you're just using a fabric to fabric application (like for costumes) it works work great - you'll just need to use alcohol to clean the glue off of your needle frequently.

I bought the Velcro Sleek & Thin velcro as an option to the ultra-light hook & loop tape I was previously using in the construction of doll fashions. This product is a great choice for that application. I cut the width in half when using it for that purpose so it creates twice the amount of length. The 'grip' of the hook & loop tape itself is very good and it's easy to sew into the tiny garments and non-abrasive on little hands during play time. Great value.
