LSE Lighting FML 27W 6500K Replacement Light Bulb

This light is what my lamp called for plus this was the brand of light that was in the lamp before. When you purchase these replacement lamps you have to be careful and buy the same kind that came out of it - or they don't fit correctly. It was a few bucks more than the others but I knew it would work - and it does. However, the shipper did not ship for a week and I found that unacceptable in today's internet marketplace. There are very few shippers that take a week to ship out a product that is sitting on the shelf. However, when I complained about so long via email, the shipper credited my entire shipping cost to accommodate my concerns. I told them not to credit my account for the shipping - but they did it anyway. So all in all, if Ace Hardware will put in place new shipping procedures and ship before a weeks time - this would be an A+ rating.

This bulb & lamp only lasted 7 years before the bulb just went OUT. Looked and it was black. So ordered a new one. Pulled the old bulb out and the new one didn't. Dang. Returned it, Amazon's sending new one.Got the newbie, opened it up and went to plug it into the lamp: the Downs boy next door had used the lamp as his sword and it was broken beyond words.So I have this extra bulb that I'm keeping because I'm ordering a new lamp.Folks, the light from this lamp has eased my eyes and made all my table activities enjoyable. I got it as a bday gift from my brother and it's one of the most thoughtful things he's given me since we got on Social Security. I strongly recommend this bulb, this lamp, this company. The bulb I received was not a Lights of America bulb. It was an LSE bulb. The bulb works fine and wasn't worth the time and effort to return and order another one. Also, can't be sure of what brand of new bulb I would receive if I ordered the same one. I paid $2-3 more for this bulb believing it was a Lights of America bulb as opposed to the other bulbs that are listed when searching for an FML27 bulb.

Long lasting bulb with one of the best full spectrum neutral color lighting I have seen in any bulb I've owned, including LEDs. Excellent for getting the best detail of an item in a picture for instance.Highly recommended, only purchased 2 of these in the 12 years I have owned the LoA Model 1227 T-Series lamp. I have only broken one of these bulbs when knocking the lamp clear off the table, if not for that, it would be one time in 12 years w/ moderate to heavy usage per day! Well worth the $10 or so when you know your mileage is nearly half a decade on one.

Worked for me on my older Lights of America desk lamp. My only problem for me was it was not apparent which way the bulb went in- On my lamp it inserted with the printside of the bulb turned AWAY from view so it took some tries to get it inserted properly. Other than that- Presto - there was light again and the lamp as good as new. I felt the price was right too - I had worried I might have to just buy a new similar lamp with bulb already in it. I was glad to not have my attractive Lights of America desk lamp not be a throw away product..

Bulb that came with the lamp lasted for years. Bought an aftermarket bulb as replacement but only lasted less than two years but worked great. Purchase this OEM hoping it will last as the one that came with the lamp but only time will tell. I only gave it four stars becasue it doesn't seen to be as bright as the aftermarket or the original bulb. I also starts dim and takes a split second to become fully bright. I could have a bad bulb but too late to return.

These bulbs don't last as long as we were told and they are more hazardous when broken or burned out and require disposal, a good example of a propaganda sales job by self-appointed experts, in this case with an agenda to influence legislation to get rid of incandescent bulbs. So often the public is told to "do this because it's good for you" when the unintended consequences are either unknown or swept under the rug until it's too late. But, here we are, and even my stash of incandescent bulbs is almost gone. In my experience the Lights of America bulbs are better than the others on the market. This one is used in a computer desk/work desk and it has good color balance.

Light Exports FML27W6500K GX10q-4 Non Dim were the lights actually delivered to me as replacements for Lights of American FML-27 9024B 27W. When I installed the replacement bulb, it broke the plastic tabs in the lamp that were meant to hold the bulb in place. The bulb was very hard to get into the holes. It did not work when I did finally get the bulb installed. I tried the second replacement bulb I ordered. It didn't work either. I then took a lit original Lights of America bulb from another identical lamp and put it into the same lamp and it didn't work either. I decided to try a replacement bulb in that other lamp that I knew was working and started to install it. It was immediately difficult. I quit. I decided not to take a chance on breaking another lamp. I do not honestly know that the lamp that no longer works didn't work as a result of trying to install the replacement bulb but I was not willing to take the risk of breaking another lamp and gave up. I put the working original bulb back in the working lamp and it is just fine. I am now going to trash the two replacement bulbs and find either the original bulbs or get different lamps.
