SpeckCandyShell Pro Bumper Case - Black, iPhone 12 Pro Max, Wireless Charging Compatible, 6.7" Screen

These are the only covers that I’ve ever used on all of my iPhones and I guess it’s time to look for a different brand. The Candy Shell covers used to have a shiny coating that created an awesome grip, and now with this “soft touch” crap the phone slides right out of my hands. Doesn’t someone test these things??! I don’t know if they’re getting cheap and don’t want to use good material, but this is awful and frustrating. They should seriously inquire what their customers think, maybe the cases would be made better.

I’ve always owned Speck cases but there seems to me major problems with all of their cases. I passed on a lot of their cases because of the reviews. This one looked promising plus I was desperate to get a case on my new phone. The iPhone 12 Pro Max by itself has zero grip. Very disappointed in this case and speck for dropping the ball. I would not recommend this case unless you specifically was t this to slide in your hand. I will probably end up scuffing it with sandpaper but I don’t have much hope of success.

This is a high quality case with a nice feel and none of the little signs suggesting that it’s of lower quality.When I got it though I was a bit sad that the coloring of the “red” accents aren’t how they appeared to be in the product photos. The color is more of a reddish orange or salmon color than actually red like it was pictured. I’ve put it on my product red iPad Smart Cover to make a comparison. If you don’t mind the orangish red then this case will be great for you but for me it’s a bit unfortunate.

Disclaimer::: This review has absolutely nothing to do with the seller, the case came very quick, I believe it even came early. So no problems there. I usually love Speck products...but this case..they really dropped the ball on this one 🙄 This case is sooooo dang slippery and has ZERO grip to it. Speck has grips on mostly all their phone cases so not sure why they made this case without it. I highly doubt you would want your brand new $1,200(ish) iphone to slip out of your hands. When I put the phone case on, I knew right away it was not going to work and I took it off just as fast as I put it on. Unless your wearing those non-skid socks on your hands then this case is not for ANYONE 😆It is what it is, you win some, and you lose some. At least I didn’t pay an arm and a leg for this case!It’s a shame because the case itself is so pretty 🥺

I have used Speck cases since they first came out. Loved them. Now I will have to try another brand because besides the case being slippery as a greased pig, the Camera cut out edges are no taller than the camera lens!!! Do you know how upset that makes me?I bought this case far in advance of when I was able to get the phone because I was so confident in Speck cases. I finally get the phone only to find I can’t use the case. Even if could keep a hold of the slippery case, it does not protect the valuable and very vulnerable camera lenses so it’s useless.Having purchased this so long before I got the phone I basically just through that money in the trash because it’s far too late to send this piece of junk back.I rate this a do not buy!

I mean it’s true. It doesn’t have a strong grip hold. The texture of the case is soft like making it a bit slippery but honestly I really like it. I don’t mind it. It has a sturdy feeling to it the case but also a slim look to it. So if you like bulky looking ones then this isn’t the case for you. If you don’t like soft like cases then this isn’t the case for you. But it was for me.

It’s a solid, well built, great looking case. It’s only downside, holy CRAP it’s slippery!!! It feel like it comes oiled. I don’t know how to describe it, but it the hardest case to keep ahold of that I have ever owned. I have owned a good many Speck cases, and bought a different one to replace this one. This one is absolutely not for me. I found myself always using 2 hands, or my pinky to support the bottom of the phone so it wouldn’t fall out of my hands, to the point that my fingers started to cramp after a while. Rest it on your lap for a second, forget about it, it’s on the floor.

Solid case, with speck reliability. I was worried with the thinness there wouldn’t be protection but thankfully it’s sustained a few close call drops.The only thing I don’t like is the camera bump, I’d personally rather have the case made flush to compensate the camera bump.

Protects the phone very well

The case looks good.The material is awful, very slippery and marks up and feels weird. I have bought other speck phone cases and loved. This one I don’t like at all.
