A Lasco by any other name is still a Lasco...
Beautiful crankset, but somewhat disappointed in the fact that it's packaged and sold as an Origin8 crankset when it's clearly marked on the inside of both cranks with the Lasco name. If I wasn't I such a hurry to get this bike built, I would've send them back and ordered the Lasco version for less money. With that said, they fit well on my 97 Gary Fisher Wahoo single-speed conversion project and look great. Installation was easy and they're clearly marked with the recommended torque values for the crank bolts. Add a drop of blue loctite to each bolt, torque them properly, and you shouldn't have any problem with the bolts backing out.

Nice but...
Good value for the money. Installed and started riding. No problems since. Hard to argue with that. It is, however, a Lasco crank that has been relabeled and given a rather fat price hike. The forged Lasco logo is still inside the crankarm and it won't take you more than a few minutes to discover that this crank retails for half the price being asked for it here.

Bad quality, broke right away
Broke the first weak of use. The pedal came right out while riding. I looked inside and had stripped all the treads out. As I forced it back in I chipped a lot of the paint around the whole where the pedal goes into, so I felt like I couldn’t return it. Ended up using the chainring and old crank arms to ride again. I don’t know if it was a one time thing but I don’t think I’ll be going for the brand anymore.

Killer Cranks.
Pretty nice cranks for the $$$. Arrived promptly and was well packed. Fit was perfect. Went from a 44mm chainring, so I had to order a new chain. No buggy, as I would have replaced the chain anyway. This crank set replaced a set of beach cruiser cranks. I bent one going up a super step hill. Didn't ever know you could do that. At any rate, dinomite replacement. Much nicer than pictured. Would definitely recommend. However, it is only one mans opinion.

cranky crankset!
I got this for a single speed I've been working on for a few months (1980's 58cm Takara 10speed... its fast). It fits great but you need to make sure you are putting it on a new bottom bracket and not an old 80's style one like mine, it helps get the chain in line. The only con to this crank set is it squeaks if you put BMX pedals on it! Why BMX pedals? Well i like riding with sandals on and it gives me more foot area... I have big feet OK.... and it a cool kid thing + that is what I had available!! Some bike lube takes care of the Cranky Cranks for a little while, but it comes back every now and then. Like i said great cranks and it was delivered in a ratty box.. hit to delivery man..but came in great condition and work fine. The paint is a little cheep looking and shiny but has not come off yet, the gears are changeable using an allen wrench so if i want to go up in teeth i can which is great.overall i like it and would buy it again if needed!

did the trick
Purchased a blue one to replace a chrome one that I stripped the threads on. Happy with both of them, except for how soft the aluminum is when steel/chromoly pedals are inserted.... make sure to use the pedal washers to avoid the same costly mistake I made.

Alright just don't use with Steel pedals
Don't use with steel pedals, they'll cut through the threading of this alloy crank like butter. Nothing more painful/scary than your pedal popping off in the middle of a busy street while you're power pedaling to beat traffic. Pretty sure I bruised my hip bone.

Where’s the other crank arm?
This only came with the drive side crank arm and the chainring and no non-drive side crank arm. What happened? The packaging clearly says CRANKARMS(plural).
