This is the perfect ladder for light-duty tasks around the house. I have 9' ceilings and this just right for them. Go one size bigger for 10' ceilings. So light...but sturdy. Way nicer than the typical aluminum ladder at a big box store: the rungs are wider (for comfort), the rungs are closer together (better for tired knees), and the small platform at the top works as advertised....you can comfortably stand on it. This is not for throwing on the back of a pick-up truck and doing handyman jobs commercially. Think of it like this....if you are a cook, this is a very sharp paring knife, not a big, heavy chef knife. Giving my 31-pound beautiful & sturdy A-frame L___ Gi__t to my son and keeping this 13-pound replacement. Love this baby.

This was a birthday present from my husband who always wants to keep me safe. It's solid and secure and not nearly as heavy as I feared. It's worth the investment. Especially for us old folks who aren't ready to sit down yet.

I expect mistakes to be made but judge companies on how they handle them. When the wrong ladder arrived I contacted the company and the correct ladder arrived in less than a week - I judge that to be excellent service. Hats off to the seller.As for the ladder it meets all my needs - the steps are extra wide as is the top platform and they are all covered with a nonslip coating. Also the retractable extension on the top of the ladder gives me an added feeling of safety.

This is a great ladder. Whats nice is the step width allows for stable footing. Easy to open and close. This is the third Hailo ladder I have purchased. One for garage, one for my Mom and one for upstairs. We'll worth every penny.

Safe, sturdy ladder that I tywrapped a small paint bucket onto top handhold. Was very helpful in painting upper borders of 9 foot ceilings.

Just needed a step stool one step higher than the usual three-step stools. Lightweight but sturdy for our use. I like the top rail handle too.

This ladder is very light to move around, very sturdy & just the right height. I have had lots of ladders in my life but none as good as this.
