Great-Tasting Syrups Without Worrisome Ingredients
I was looking for healthy ketogenic type recipes for making ice cream using my Ninja Creami and one particular recipe I found for making one pint of butter pecan ice cream called for 2- tablespoons of Walden Farms caramel syrup to be blended in with one can of coconut milk along with a keto type sweetener and vanilla extract. Sure enough, the Walden Farms syrup makes an amazing difference in terms of taste. I tried the recipe both with and without the WF syrup just to know for myself if the syrup makes a difference. The Walden Farms syrups make for better-tasting ice cream than I have ever bought at the store including some premium brands. One can buy other ketogenic, aka low carb- type ingredients for making ice cream but I have found many of them have ingredients that are potentially harmful, like carrageenan and sucralose. I am comfortable with the ingredients in Walden Farms products and these syrups are going to be a permanent part of what I keep in my fridge for making ice cream.

Broken glass
Opened package, one broke. Be careful opening it. I couldn’t return as defective.

lingering aftertaste
I thought it was a nice try on my part. But I did not like the aftertaste and it lingered for a long time.

Its ok
The chocolate syrup tasted more like a liquid form of tootsie rolls than chocolate but the caramel was pleasantly surprising after trying the chocolate.

Flavors are weak
I tried the chocolate in coffee with soy milk and it took about a .25C to get a mild sweet chocolate-ness. That's still cheaper than Starbucks, but I probably just need to find a decent extract. My son tried some over ice cream (what's the point?) and I couldn't taste it.The caramel has a little more flavor and the strawberry is a little better yet.

Flavor off
I have yet to try the strawberry and chocolate syrup but I was so excited they had caramel only to be disappointed. It tastes nothing like caramel but more like a strong butterscotch. That's not the flavor I was looking for.
