Worked Great on 2013 Sierra HD
Once you are able to fully access the broken part, installation is a breeze. Some what of a pain in the rear to gain full access. That was the time consuming part of this replacement. There is no instructions. For me I removed both the seats. As mentioned, you could most likely get by with just removing the passenger side seat. I decided to remove both, as I wanted the extra space to remove the plastic trim. I did not remove the drivers side seat from the truck, just moved it forward. It took about an extra 1/2 hour to remove and replace the drivers side, passenger seat. I also removed the 3 child seat harness straps as they were pressing against the trim. I removed all the trim with a 10 inch wonder bar and a 10 inch plastic shim. The biggest pain in the rear was getting the casing of the cable behind the seatbelt loop.I managed to just use all my weight and strength to pull on the seatbelt loop and finally slide the casing behind it.The replacement part itself worked like a charm, and honestly, once I had access to the broken part, it only took about 15 minutes and was very simple and self explanatory.😎 JS SAYN

Exact replacement worked great.
I can’t believe I did’t fix the rear power slider sooner. The part is OEM & fit perfectly. Installation was not difficult at all. Took about 1.5hrs but coulda been much quicker if I knew what I was doing. A few notes on install. Remove whole back seat. Clean the window track thoroughly on top & bottom. Dry lube all tracks & rubber seals so window moves fairly easily prior to cable install. The center seatbelt bracket needs to be pulled forward to get the cable behind it. Don’t bend it, just pull enough to get behind it. Good luck.

Unreasonably difficult to install on a 2008 Silverado LTZ extended cab
As others have commented, this is a difficult install. I had to remove both rear seats, the lower window trim behind the seats, the carseat loops, use a crowbar to bend back the middle seatbelt top bracket to get the cable past it, and take the window stop off the right side of the sliding window in order to install the cable. Worked like a charm once installed. Also, do not remove the yellow bracket on the regulator over the screw hole, this keeps the cable springs tensioned until the unit is fully installed. Tools: 10mm, 18mm sockets, Torx T50 bit for the carseat loop brackets. flathead screwdriver to remove old retaining clips (two come with the GM kit) and some trim removal tools.

First one was defective. The second was perfect. Please read the review.
I ordered this for a 2007 Silverado crew cab. The first cable assembly was defective. The cables would not budge and the cable for the passenger side was way too short (only 6-inches) and the opposite side was 23 inches. I requested a return / replacement and Amazon shipped a replacement before I could print the return shipping label. This level of service is why I use Amazon. The second assembly arrived and was perfect. The exposed cable length on both sides was equal (15.5 inches) and the cables moved freely. I did remove the passenger side rear seat to access the broken cable assembly. I had a little difficult positioning the new cable under the driver side shoulder strap retainer but with a little pushing a pulling, it did fit.The different between the defective units overall cable length and the replacement is two inches. After seeing how the broken OEM part was made, my guess is that the manufacture wrapped the cable around the pulley / bobbin in the housing. This may account for why the defective one would not feed and the overall cable length is two inches short. Here is the bottom line. If you purchase one of these and the exposed cable lengths are not 15.5 inches on both sides…… pack it up and send it back. With the right part, the installation is not difficult.
