Day ten, good so far
So far no failures! No weird 45 degree only turning, no sticking to one side. Looked closely on inside, neat the way the black wire is bonded to the braided shielded cable.Just got two more in, will give them a whirl. (If I haven't updated this, I have 3 successes!)

Good alternative
If you don't want to spend a lot of money for the Nintendo one, this are good enough, I have 4 of them and will keep them as spares since controllers for older consoles may be hard to get.

Stopped working within a few months.
Stopped working a few months in. The matching controller is doing fine, but the WII will no longer read that this numb-chuck is connected. It is still relatively new (few months since purchased) so that is a drag. Worked well when received, just didn't last very long. The original one works with controller just fine, so it must be this item that has an issue.
