Metra 99-7625B Single/Double DIN Dash Kit for 2008-2013 Infiniti G37 (Black)

Metra has over charged for their products. I bought this so that I can retain all of my factory equipment and have an upgraded infotainment system. I've uninstalled the unit, put the factory unit back in and everything works as it should. Put the metra dash back in and the ac is stuck in automatic and the back cam and oem screen do not work. I had to be creative with the black box that it comes with because it's too big to put in with the harness. So far the only thing that is working flawlessly is the Double din unit that I bought separately with the dash. The instructions are vague and not correct for the car and I wish there were some troubleshooting steps I could perform to find the root cause of the issue. This is a 50 dollar product at best. I hope someone could engineer a WORKING product to compete with this one so that metra cant monopolize anymore on the worse product I've bought on amazon.

Easy Install took about 4 hrs tho.really Expensive.

I’ve ordered two so far and neither worked for my Infiniti G37. Never was able to get sound. The buttons was backwards. Had horrible experience trying to install just to have to send back

This was a nightmare install. Instructions were at times vague, and others faulty. I had to update the firmware on the control box four times, and am still missing my fuel economy function and accurate temp on my center top screen. Metra told me they don't have a fix for this. The a/c control faceplate does not connect well to the piece behind it, leaving it flimsy. Also very tough to route all the wires and new boxes in this model. I don't recommend this unless you are an expert with time on your hands, or will have someone else install and are ready to pay for the install hours. Metra's tech support was hit and miss depending on who you got, but the manager who helped me the most was very helpful.

It actually made my G37 look better on the inside, not the best kit, but considering how hard it is to change the radio on the car this is a great alternative

Yeah...the instructions are pretty vague, but if your a novice at stereo install..you SHOULD be able to figure it out. I was hesitant to order, because I wasn't sure if it would work in my 2008 "NON-BOSE" infiniti G35 6MT Sedan, but after some blood and sweat, I got the thing in. To be honest, the hardest part is getting all the wires from all of the harnesses, tucked so that your radio will fit. Only advice I can give is..make sure your head unit isn't too deep. There's not much room for anything back there. You'll see once you get your factory unit out. GOOD LUCK. I wrote this for the people who own 2008 g35...and aren't sure if its compatible. IT IS!!!!

Terrible. Makes an awful ringing noise come from the speakers, even when grounded correctly. The temp and time was always wrong, and the ac controls stopped working after a few weeks. The top screen froze, and would not turn off unless I UNPLUGGED THE BATTERY. Terrible kit, not even close to worth the money.

I should’ve read the reviews before buying, because this item did not work for me and the tech support team was not helpful at all.I connected everything as instructed, but the new climate control buttons did not work. This particular issue has been reported by many customers. Count me among them.
