Works as it should. They are firm/tight as they should be, but stretch quite a bit to put things underneath like a coat. If you want to secure a big heavy bag, it is better to use the straps with hooks, as the bag might fall to the side of your bike rack and hang next to your wheel. The colour combination of black/grey/white is nice and neutral.I am Dutch and virtually all bikes in the Netherlands have these straps pre-installed. I am happy to now also have them in the US. Based on my experience from the Netherlands, these straps should live up for many years, but they will eventually loose their elasticity dependent on weather/sun exposure.The reason that I gave only 4 stars is that it did not come with any screws to attach it. I also had to bend the metal connector slightly to make it work with my rack, but that was not difficult to do or noticeable afterwards.

Only complaint is that strap is too short/inflecibke to use with the mounting hooks as intended on larger bikes. On my road bike the strap barely made it at full stretch hooked to the wheel hub over my cargo shelf with nothing on it. I had to mount the hooks higher up on the frame with clamps. It would be nice if the 3straps were really a loop through tension strap design so overall length could be adjusted

This bike strap has allowed me to secure my backpack or other items to my rack. Unlike other reviewers I haven't had trouble with the mounting hook. With 2+ months of use the straps have not stretched out noticeably. That's not to say that the backpack doesn't occasionally slouch off after I hit a pothole. But overall I'm quite pleased with the performance.

This is the most indispensable accessory on my bicycle. It's so easy and holds most small items securely on the back of my bike. The straps aren't quite strong enough to handle awkward/heavy items, so in those cases I supplement with another bungee. But for everyday transportation this can't be beat for the price. And so convenient that it's attached.

Product lacks of proper description. Strap has no hooks for hold something firmly, it's just a fragile plastic mounts which really doesn't hold anything at bumpy road. It will make your backpack (with laptop and other expensive stuff) fall from the bike after 1-2 minute ride.It's my fault for buying this without looking at the photos without microscope. If you bought it - prepare yourself to modify it with adding some hooks which you need to make by yourself.

the straps are great, but the mounting point for the strap is design for certain type of rack.. I had to bend the steel bracket to get it to fit onto my bicycle rack.

Disappointed that the strap requires the installation of hardware to clip the ends to the bike.Prefer a simpler hook attached to the end of the straps.

Perfect size, tension and shape for my 20" foldable city bike, fits also the original rack sling bracket, so i have 2 regulations for tension and package shape.

Very strong elastic, attached easily to my bike and a great price. Strong enough to hold a postcard in between the three straps, riding in the wind. Good stuff.

Just the job to hold down the morning paper.

Exact replacement for current strap. Wasn't 100% sure it would fit as product page image does not show back of clip clearly.

Delivered promptly , looked good, tried to fit it to my bike didn't fit, tried it on my friends bike didn't fit also there was nuts missing, really disappointed!
