will they work in dashboard for ford expedition 1999?

I use them in the dashboard for my 1981 El Camino and also to replace a few other interior lights in my wife's minivan which is a 2012 I don't see why they wouldn't work

Yes. If your sockets already use this type of bulb. I swear to GAWD people answer questions on amazon without having a clue.

Short answer, no. They are NOT WATERPROOF. But, if your existing system is 12 volt and it uses ordinary automotive lights, and do so in a waterproof enclosure, then yes, they will work. They are as bright as ordinary dashboard lights or around as bright as a typical night light.
