the hydraulics on this chair are less than desirable. I have had this chair just over four months, and have had nothing but problems with the chair dropping. I have the chair at the highest point, and it will slowly start a descent down to the base. Obviously, there is an issue with the hyrdraulics. The chair will hold weight up to 350 lbs. I weigh considerably less than that. I have never had a chair do this, and this chair is not cheap! The hydraulics issue is a big deal, and we will see what the company recommends. I have read when you get a new hydraulic pump, it can be extremely difficult to remove the old one as it gets compressed from you sitting on and using the chair. Would I recommend this chair? I like the style and it is comfortable but who wants to sit in a chair that slowly drops down on you.addendum - 1 YR LATER. I REPLACED THE HYDRAULIC UNIT I WAS SENT OUT. THIS CHAIR IS VERY EXPENSIVE, AND IT IS CERTAINLY NOT WORTH IT. STILL HAVING HYDRAULIC ISSUES. I AM ABOUT READY TO TOSS THIS CHAIR AND GO TO OFFICE MAX/DEPOT, STAPLES, COSTCO AND GET AS GOOD A CHAIR FOR MUCH LESS MONEY. YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW FRUSTRATING IT IS TO BE WORKING AND HAVE THE CHAIR SLOWLY LOWER, EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!

Not happy with the purchase. Too tall and doesn't sit comfortably. Lesson learned -bad idea to buy chair online
