Inspired by the award winning Axiom design the Scout Gen 2 slingshot from SimpleShot Shooting Sports represents precision, quality, and affordability in one do-it-all package. 100% designed and made in the USA, the Scout is manufactured in North Carolina. The polycarbonate construction provides an extremely strong and durable frame, capable of withstanding heavy use. The rubber overmold provides a warm and repeatable purchase on the slingshot, ensuring comfort and consistency. Capable of being fitted with any elastic available, from OTT to TTF, the Scout provides adaptability and the opportunity to stick to just one slingshot frame, while experimenting with various elastics- from wrist rocket tubes to chained office rubber bands, the Scout can wear it all and shoot it well. The Scout comes with unattached single layer .030" medical latex bands and premium leather pouch, but can shoot whatever you want to put on it with minor do it yourself modifications. The slingshot easily accommodates a variety of shooting styles, whether hammer grip, fork supported, or pinched. What's more, the unique asymmetrical palmswell allows both the youngster with small hands and the brawniest of hands to comfortably shoot. For those with small hands, simply turn the slingshot around backwards, and the palmswell creates a good fit for kids and ladies. Shot with the maker's mark facing the the shooter, one has the option of any popular grip style. With the addition of the FlipClip band attachment accessory, switching bands or fine tuning is a breeze. -5.75" tall -2-3/8" between the forks -4" overall fork width -3/4" thick fork cross section -7/8" fork tip width -5/16" diameter tube holes -weight- 4.6oz Slingshot comes without the bands installed.

Received Broken in Half
The slingshot I received was broken in half. I am not sure what kind of force it would take to do such a thing, but I am very concerned about the structural integrity of your product. This was a Christmas gift and needless to say the recipient was highly disappointed.

Don’t waste your $40. Poor quality; worse (non-applicable) assembly instructions.
You should only offer this product on April Fools Day. The assembly instructions had nothing to do with the actual product shipped. The instructions were to wrap the fork of the frame using small “tie wrap sized” material bands that were not included. The provided plastic washer snapped in half as I tried to create a rube-goldberg assembly. I animated a photo but the system will not accept the animations. I wish to return this item. I will go to a sporting goods store to buy my grandson his Christmas slingshot. Please credit my account and tell me where to ship this $40 debacle.

Breaks after 70 rounds.
Bands broke after about 15 to 20 rounds the first week I got it. Plastic clips broke later on after I replaced the bands out of my own pocket. Clips snapped the bands in my face after about 50 rounds. So all this slingshot is good for is about 70 shots of ammo. I was using various ammo 3/8 and 1/2 inch steel as well as 1/2 glass marbles. I tried contacting the seller to see what could be done but there was no response.

Great slingshot!
Excellent slingshot! I've had two or three 'wrist rocket' type slingshots over the years and enjoyed them. Then a year or so back, I saw this new generation of slingshots and saw videos of shots people were making with them. Pretty impressive stuff!Ended up purchasing the Simple Shot Scout. At first I wasn't as impressed as I felt like I should've been - didn't seem like it was shooting all that hard. It seemed like maybe I wasn't getting all the bands had to offer. Did some research on the Simple Shot Academy part of the website and found information on setting draw length. I'm an archer, so I understand draw length. Turns out I needed to set the draw length. I used the information from Simple Shot Academy to cut my bands to get the correct draw length. Now she's shooting just right!Excellent manufacturing quality. Easily adjustable. Plenty of upgrades available from Simple Shot. The Scout fits easily in a jacket pocket (try that with a stinkin' wrist rocket!). Highly accurate. Light weight. I'm hooked!I shoot Daisy 1/2" glass marbles and Daisy 3/8" steel balls.

Hasn't left my EDC bag!
Several months back, while on a crazy trip ctoss country scooter trip, I stoped by a Walmart to get hand warmers. Right next to the warmers was a 5 dollar slingshot that I ended up purchasing to have something to plink with (though slingshots definitely do more than "plink.") Anyway, I got back into the hobby and decided to invest in a higher quality sidearm. Allow me to save you the time we all use in do in reviewing literature and video product review online. The products by flippinout slingshots are amazing! They only have the scout on amazon but they have several beautiful artisan ones on their website. I wasn't as interested in in visual appeal so I went with their popular, durable and versatile scout.I'll do pros and cons...Pros:-comes with bands and pouch-The forks have indents for a variety of bands and attachment options.-Durability- It's made of fiberglass reinforced resin... don't worry about it ever breaking.-Comfort- The palm swell is perfect and, again refering to versatility, it is shaped to accomodate either of the three holding styles (hammer, pinch or thumb assisted.)-Fast shippingCons:-If you are planning on carrying it in your pocket, it is a bit larger than their other models but still much smaller and carryable than the bent fork models you find in big box stores.-I haven't really noticed it but some have said the edges are somewhat sharpish, which would affect you if you use the pinch grip. I honestly wouldn't be too concerned by this, though, because that's something that can be solved with some sandpapering. I would say go with a course grit and get it roughly how you like it before smoothing it back out with a fine grit. All in all, if you want cheap and durable, you can go to Walmart. If you want to add versatility, comfort and pride of ownership, get the scout. Oh, and on a side note- if you have a bigger budget and want more style/ visual appeal, go to flippinout's actual website (flippinoutslingshots.com) and brows their other offerings. It's a small company but there's a ridiculous number of different models and designs.

Love this
Great product.Only thing is I'd like a stronger band out the gate. Can always shorten it I suppose. The science behind their product is so obvious it make me wonder why my catapults as a kid were tubes and hard to change.Good company. Check out their site for other products too.
