Les Miserables: Piano/Vocal Ward Best Musical

Loved the fact that a modestly able pianist can hammer out a decent tune. Well presented and very enjoyable favourite pieces with vocal arrangement too!

I brought this book after hearing the soundtrack, and i wasnt disapointed! The songs are not too difficult to play and the book is very nicely presented. Just make sure you find out what songs are included in the book as i found some of my favourites were missing. Having said that the most popular songs are included; I Dreamed a Dream, On My Own, Empty Chairs At Empty Tables, Master Of The House, Stars etc. (No One Day More or Who Am I though!)

This is a suberb book for all kinds of musical work. If you are a singer or a piano player this book is ideal for you. As an accompanist, I often see people love to singer these songs. Wonderful arrangements and songs by Boubil and Schonberg. Fully Recommended!

The selections book has lower keys and slightly different accompaniment than the broadway show or the movie, but with a good accompanist, all things are possible! Still a fun book to sing from.

Bought this for my daughter as I do not play the piano. She says it has what she needs so I would take her word for it. She learned to play as a child but hasn't touched the piano in years so we were looking for something that accommodated her skill level as she eased her way back in. It apparently filled the bill because she is pretty happy with it (she is a big fan of Les Miserables).

As a fan of Les Mis and an experienced piano player, I can say that this is a great buy. The arrangements are good for intermediate/advanced players; some are easier, while others harder. Most of the songs are beautiful arrangements that stay true to the scores, and the book has all of the famous favourite songs. For players at the advanced level, some of these songs might be too easy, but there are some more challenging ones as well. The book itself isn't super fancy, but fairly good quality; it's got a nice glossy cover and some lovely photos of the musical. Definitely worth the money!
