120-4000 Xtreme Plus Flush Hood Latch and Pin Kit - Black, with Installation Kit

I'm planning on recessing these into my fiberglass hood so my installation will be a little tougher than the design installation method dictates. This is a solid product with good feel to it, I'm looking forward to getting them installed. DO NOT by cheap knockoffs, buy these.

This hood latch is amaaazing. Originally purchased the non locking, then decided to get the locking. Very sturdy and well made. Only difficulty I had was installing it and lining up the latch.. Because of the hood angle, your initial lineup won't be exact. I had to spend a bit of time slowly adjusting the latch little by little until it was "perfect". But once I finally got everything lined up its been working beautifully.

Replaced cheap push button style. These were way easier to install. Adjustments were a breeze and I feel the larger mounting area cuts down on the stress on the hood.

I Purchased these to install on my carbon fiber hood that I recently purchased. The hood was screwed up and I was unable to re use my OEM hardware. I opted to use these latches instead and the quality is great. Install is not easy by any means but if you have a professional do it shouldn't be too big of an issue. One thing I was disappointed about was the packaging did not come with a template of any sorts. This would have been very helpful however we were able to trace the latches themselves and it still worked out OK. The locks and keys provided do work and I have no complaints there. The actual build quality of the latches seem very good and strong.

Go a new hood and wanted a low profile set of pins that lock. Its been a year now still good.thx.

DO NOT LOSE YOUR TEMPLATE!Even after free-handing all cuts... It still looks sweet. I needed to remove hood latch for my aftermarket radiator install. This is also convenient as I'm constantly popping my hood... Always a back and forth when I remember I forgot to pull the latch inside.Ascetically pleasing and so far they've held great even at speed / on road / on track.So Do Not Lose The Template! -- - - I couldn't find a replacement online and recommend the mfg add it.. Anything you find online will be inappropriately sized and cause other issues.

I like all the features of this product. Easy to install. Enjoy the locking feature as well.

The product is Amazing!! I really like the look on the hood. But it wasn’t easy to install in my nissan 350z because of the shape of the hood! It took me a lot of work and had to modify the holes but it is done! Measure 10 times to make sure everything works once you make the hole

Product is not as advertised. Be aware that the cheapest version is being shipped and not locking or xtreme version with steel pin (weaker aluminum pin being shipped) Don't waste your time and go buy from an authorized dealer.
