Best Bday Gift!
I have bought at least 5 of these! They are a stand by bday gift for all my 5 year old son's friends. Always a hit. My son has one, too, and plays with it all the time. It's easy enough that he can set it up alone & play with his 4 year old cousin, but not boring enough that Dad & I don't mind playing with him, too. Has held up over time. Only (small) con is that it can't be put away easily--there's no dismantling it for storage.

Boys loved it
This is a fun toy. My boys (3 and 4 years old) love it. We got them one of those race track sets and they just couldn't keep the car on the tracks. This requires no skill. Just put the car in the launcher and press the button. And they love how the cars go flying off if they don't win. It's durable enough that it hasn't broken yet despite the abuse my 3 year old gives it (I swear he wants to work in QA when he grows up the way he seems to TRY to destroy things). Anyway, I'd buy again.

Great toy...
I got this for my 12 year old son, he picked it out and he loves Hot Wheels track sets and has many. He is very happy with this toy, and also when my 2 year old grandson comes to visit he plays wit this set with my son and he also loves it. It keeps them entertained and my 2 year old grandson knows how to work it himself, it is very easy. I would recommend this as it is easy to put together and provides entertainment to the kids and keeps them amused.

really thin plastic.
i had recently bought my son a huge wall track from hot wheels and this was not made to those standards. the plastic was thinner and the push button that accelerates the car through the loop broke on the third try, but hey!, one side still works when it doesn't get hung up. i do not reccomend this, and i payed a good bit for a really small track. it is hard to keep together when moved and just not made like the ones just about 6 months earlier. the company did ship it promptly and don't believe the seller had anything to do with its quality. a must buy for that kid in the class you don't like. its awesome for the first few tries, then gets stuck. Again, the seller im sure had nothing to do with the quality of this product. it lasted not even a week, except that one side and is hard to keep standing up. my son played with it for 10 minutes till the launcher broke, which i was there the whole time and he did nothing malicious to it. my 6 year old doesn't want another.

My kids love it!
My boys LOVE this toy! (I have to say I think it is fun too!) They are 4 and 2. Both can operate the launcher pretty well and the 4 year old can setup the snare. I've not had any problems with the power of the launcher. In fact, most cars only need to be set to the 3rd stop to make it through the loop (the launcher has 4 settings). Most of the hot wheels we have make it through the loop no problem (extra wide, heavy, and very light cars don't work in this set).Pros:-FUN!!!-Reasonably priced-I a pretty surprised at how consistently it works. The cars make it through the loop and the snare catches them almost every time.Cons:-I don't expect it to last forever. While my kids can use the track by themselves they cannot really move it without bending it in the wrong spots.-It would have been nice if the track had a built in storage hanger (coat hanger)

Flimsy construction & one part didn't even work
Very flimsy plastic construction overall. One of black ramps to attach on the side did not stay on. The "snare" attachment didn't work at all -- the string was not long enough, and the stand was bent the wrong way & fixed so you couldn't adjust it. Luckily, my 3-yr old nephew couldn't tell the difference, and still had fun with it.

Great for play - alone or with friends
2015 update to 2013 review below: I ended up having to throw away the snare and loop of this set. The snare completely stopped working and the loop was bulky and hard to store without getting warped. Other sets lke the exploding robot and the add ons like the exploding shed, rocket launcher, etc. have proved more durable and fun to use.2013 review: My son is an only child so I am always on the lookout for great toys that entertain both solo and with friends. He wanted one of those wall track sets that uses batteries but I liked this better. So glad I went with simple. The pieces seem flimsy but so far this has held up to being dragged around our house and to others. Yes, not all cars will work with the track - figuring out which go the fastest is part of the experience. The double to single track makes it fun with or without the snare, which can be hit or miss. I'd give this a 5 except the parts feel too flimsy for the high price tag.

Our son enjoyed this for quite a while
The track was easy to set up, the idea was fun and having a video of the real track with real cars doing this jump helped to inspire him to play with it. The catch works most of the time, but not every time. Many Hot Wheels cars work, but not all of them. I guess that was part of the fun. Unlike many other tracks, this one has not come apart just by moving it around a bit. It's fairly well made. He did get bored with it after a few weeks, but it's still sitting there waiting, so I'm presuming it'll get used again some day.
