Fantastic tool, makes taking old shaft oil seals out easy!
Perfect tool for removing front crankshaft oil seal during my timing belt service. I was able to get the camshaft seals with hose picks and a great deal of difficulty, but failed to get the crankshaft seal out. This tool took care of the crankshaft seal in 20 seconds, and would have made removing the cam seals so easily. If you work on cars you MUST purchase this tool. Lisle makes quality unique tools that solve auto-repair specific problems.

cheap metal
Garbage - dont buy it. Tried to use it on a Toyota Crank Seal and broke the tip. Didnt get around to using it right away so couldnt return it. There is a reason they supply two tips as you will break them trying to use it. Save your money.

Great tool and time saver
I have used many things to pull seals when they are still around the shaft, some tools were things I made, some tools I bought, and sometimes just a course threaded screw. But this is a great addition to the toolbox. If you are pulling a cam/crank seal on an import or some other type of small seal when the shaft is still installed in the part this tool works great. I have used it probably two dozen times since I bought it and am very pleased. I have not noticed any damage to the shafts an any occasion and the setup time was minimal. I could not imagine using this tool to pull a wheel seal or axle seal. For larger seals or seals where the shaft is not sticking through the middle of the seal there are better tools to use. If you are pulling a large seals chances are there is more room between the seal lip and the shaft and you can use something more substantial that this. My only complaint with this tool is that it comes with and extra blade but there is no place to put it. I just tied it to the shaft up near the handle with a piece of wire so I can find it if I ever break the original one. Bottom line, if someone stole this tool from me tomorrow I would but it again. Is this a tool that you have to have? No, you can get by using other methods to pull these types of seals. But it sure makes thing a lot easier and make the job go a little quicker.

Decent enough
It works okay, though the tip of the metal broke off. Luckily, Lisle offers a lifetime warranty, so getting it replaced should be no problem.

Where have been all my life!
Can't believe I haven't used a tool like this in all my life. No damage to my camshafts by trying the wood screw and pull trick. Easy to use and the built-in pry bar works great for crankshaft and cam seals.

Pleasantly Surprised!
I was skeptical, but decided to give this tool a shot I was tired of the shade tree screw method and figured it was only a matter of time before I messed something up using it. For $15, I figured, what the hoo. It worked great! You have to be patient working the little lip into the seem and under the seal. Remember, you're not trying to get completely under the seal. You just have to work the tool up under the metal core. Once it's in, don't just start slamming it. You pry up a little, slide the tool to a different spot, and pry up some more. You don't have to pull the whole "blade" out to move to a new spot. It slides easily along the edge of the seal. I probably worked about halfway around the seal before it popped loose. My first use was on a Mitsubishi camshaft seal. I can certainly see limitations depending on the seal location/access, but I'm glad to have this little guy in my tool box.

Didn't work for me on crank seals, Husqvarna 372xp chainsaw...
Good tool , unfortunately wouldn't work for me on a husqvarna 372xp chainsaw crank seals, angle is wrong to get in the lip I filed the lip to a sharper edge. no go ended up braking both included tips. Drilled a small hole & used a screw ,little leverage popped right out.

Fácil y sencilla de usar aunque si no se puede apoyar para hacer palanca se complica su uso. Se puede usar un taco de madera para apoyarla.

It didn't work well.

Simple but amazing tool. More expensive in the UK than USA, but still worth the money. Works as easy as it claims.
