KOKUYO Mechanical Pencil, Enpitsu Sharp Type M Rubber Grip, 1.3mm (PS-P401G-1P), Green

I used to work in a cabinet shop and now indo different woodworking as a hobby/side hustle.This pencil is perfect! It's light, the 1.3 mm lead is thick enough it doesn't break but yet fine enough to get an exact measurement vs a regular pencil. The pencil itself is a little wider then the usual ones I buy which I love because it fits better in my hand. The twist up eraser actually erases which is a first fir a mechanic pencil for me. Will buy again. Inky thing I would chamge is to find a way to incorporate a sharpener or just send one with it. Will purchase again. Different colors maybe?

Great pencil, terrible lead. Pencil works flawlessly; it is somewhat larger diameter than a wooden pencil, but not larger than many pens. I like a writing instrument to be on the larger side, as I have large hands. The body of the pencil is a rigid plastic, the grip is rubber and the tip metal. The tip is retractable for when placing the pencil in a pocket. Very comfortable to hold and write with. The eraser is retractable, not by twisting the entire pocket clip head, but by twisting the small ferril at the very top of the pencil. I really like that.This pencil comes with 2 pieces of lead and they are terrible! Thats the reason this only gets 4 stars. The lead is very soft and smudges so easily that it makes all your writing look like trash. Turning a page or dusting off eraser shavings smudges every line. The performance of the lead leaves a bad first impression, it would be better to sell this fine pencil without lead. I replaced the lead with Super Hi-Polymer HB lead and that turned this pencil into the five-star writing instrument.I love it and do recommend it, just buy some lead while your shopping.

It looks smart, it feels substantial, and I love the smooth, soft lead. This is a very broad, very dark, very emphatic writing experience. If you like thin and precise, this isn't the pencil for you. Also, I like the very dark green color of the barrel -- it's close to black, but still adds a pop of color. I bought this pencil after my disappointing experience with the Staedtler 1.3 mm aluminum mechanical pencil. (Clip broke quickly and the tip of the pencil wouldn't stay screwed tightly.) The Enpitsu is far superior.

I purchased 2 of these, one for me and one for my son. They are excellently made and the pencil lead mechanism slides back into the pencil so that the sharp lead doesn't puncture your pocket. I have paid more than $30 for mechanical pencils that don't work half as good! I am ordering more for friends as gifts! The Lead-Clutch on the pencil is very good, and the pencil carries a good amount of lead; I have 5 pieces of lead in the pencil as spares. The top of the pencil pulls off allowing you to add spare lead.

in searching of 1.3mm mechnical pencil, I finally found the one is well balance and comfortable for daily uses. Highly recommended.

As a mechanical pencils collector, it is too expensive for ok built quality material. For 14 bucks, you can buy plenty of other good ones.

I use Rite in the Rain lead in this and use it for marking tile. Great mechanical pencil, wish it was metal
