Excellent high quality malty flavor
Again questions that don't really hit the mark. I really like this. Nothing about this that's chocolate but it is a little Like malt. What would be hard pressed to find a better product than Chatfieldt. That is why I decided to give Kara but try with this particular brand because you can't get anything better. Which there was such a thing as decaffeinated chocolate powder. Male bears an idea but would have to get rid of the theanine or whatever is in it that's also really bad for the spine. Chocolate is not good for the brain are the body, regardless of what some people calm a lot of people tout. They don't have the full story. But Cara powder like this one is Excellent. This blends right into almond milk easily as well with a sprinkle of decaf crystals in its sprinkle of non gmo organic stevia and then heated up in the microwave.

A great replacement for chocolate
Delicious and all-natural. Lower caffeine than chocolate.

FALSE ADVERTISING, NOT IN PICTURED CONTAINER
Buyer beware. I reluctantly made this purchase (I did not need 3-16 oz bags) because I wanted the original container you see pictured, and this was the only listing that shows it in this container. I currently have my carob on my counter in a clear container that used to have chia in it, but it is somewhat unsightly on the counter that way, and so I wanted to original container. What I received was three 16 oz bags. Of course, it cannot be returned. I'm sure the quality of the carob is fine, and it got here quickly. I just want others to know that the packaging is not what is shown. I would NOT have made this purchase if I had known!! :(

excellent
I lift weights and eat a low carb diet and was looking for something I could consume that was sugar free but would satiate my cravings for sweets. This was a great buy. As I kid I became familiar with the taste of carob through carob malt balls. I ate them all the time. And while I do love chocolate, carob to me is a distinct flavor and I don't consider it 'fake chocolate.' I had never eaten carob in any other way and wondered if it wouldn't make a good hot drink. It definitely does. Mixing almond milk, Stevia, vanilla extract, and Chatfield's carob powder, it makes an incredible sweet and delicious hot drink without any sugar added. When I first tried making a hot carob drink with this product I made the mistake of just mixing it with hot water. This was actually disgusting. The carob powder however becomes delicious with the addition of a creamy milk and sweeteners. I look forward to doing more with this powder. For example I've already successfully made some delicious gluten-free carob muffins. I also plan on adding some to my protein drinks. There is no sugar added to this product so I can do so freely.

Makes a great carob bark!
I am allergic to chocolate so I am always looking for alternatives. I have tired a lot of carob powders over the years - some have been pretty bad. This particular brand has a pretty good chocolate flavor. I like to mix it with a cup of milk in the evening and heat it up in the microwave. My version of hot chocolate. It tastes a lot like chocolate so satisfies my craving now and then. My complaint with this and other carob powders is that it does not mix well with liquid. I have even used a hand blender to mix the carob with the milk. It gets frothy and the first 3/4 of the cup of hot carob drink tastes great, and then the last 1/4 tends to be gloppy carob powder that has settled to the bottom of the cup and is unpleasant to finish. I have not tried baking anything yet. My wife does not care for it, so if I baked something, it would have to be me eating the whole thing. Also, the 3-pack turns out to be a LOT of carob. It is going to take me long time to get through 3 16-oz containers of this. It is worth 4-stars because it tastes closer to chocolate than a lot of other brands out there. I just wish it mixed better with liquids. Update: I found a great way to use this carob powder - a carob bark! So, this powder does not mix well with milk or other liquids. But it mixes great with coconut oil. I found a great recipe for a bark that ends up tasting like a chocolate bar. Mix 1 cup of carob powder with 3/4 cup melted coconut oil and 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract. It comes out gooey and we'll mixed. I add a half cup of toasted almonds. Spread out in a layer on waxed paper on top of a paper plate and set in the freezer for a couple hours. From there, you can break it up into pieces for snacking. Keep in a baggie in the freezer. When you get the hankering for a snack, remove a piece from the bag in the freezer and Chow down. This has become the only way I eat carob any more because it is so good. Since I am allergic to chocolate, this is a great candy bar alternative.

Chatfield's Always Been Good For Me
Good purchase from Amazon and good delivery time. If a person follows the recipe on the container carob powder the results will be just a good, but with far more nutrition and less calories, as good as any chocolate powder. I have purchased and used Chatfield's Carob Powder since 1968 and have never been disappointed. Now I can say I was not disappointed in Amazon.com seller and the product value. Thank you and Happy Chocolating...................... Nothing like a good St. John's Bread to make a dessert sooooo good. So called, St. John's Bread because it is believed the Carob Pods were also refered to as locust pods in the middle east. This is the nutritious Bread the prophet of God ate and was sustained with while journeying. (Just a little information for anyone interested.)
