Nicholson 8" Rectangular Double/Single Cut Axe File - 06706NN, Multi, One Size

Everybody whines about Nicholson files these days, IDK why. This is a great cutting, durable file that cuts great. I've used it on everything from axes to the spine of a stainless steel knife. Great file, decent price, I say buy one if you need it.

I really like this file its just right size for what I was needing to use it for double cut on one side and single on the other makes sharpening my hatchets and axes a breeze. I don't do reviews unless I feel like someone might want to know the truth about a product if your looking for a good file for your outdoor utensils hatchets, axes exc then you will like this file and it's a really decent file everything I own made my crescent has been great tools up to this day they have.

Works great for sharpening axes and outdoor tools. The built in handle is appreciated as it saves space in my chainsaw bag.

Worked very well sharpening my yard tools. I tried the round puck to sharpen but it basically just disintegrated into powder. This file sharpens my axes quickly. Wish I knew about this one sooner

It may be made in Brazil but this file cuts an Axe bit really well. I used it for several hours today re contouring a chipped True Temper double bit Axe head. Yes I would buy another ! 🪓👍.

This is an excellent axe file that I recommend at all of my axe seminars and workshops. The double cut really hogs of the metal, and tue an glue cut leaves a nice smooth base for finishing the bevels. It’s compact at 8” and the profiled tang means I don’t have to add a handle. That’s a bonus, since this rides in my woodcutter’s box. I made a leather sleeve for mine. Don’t forget to break it in properly on brass or aluminum, only cut in one direction, and use a file card or brass brush to keep it from pinning.

This is perfect to putting an edge back on your axe. You can run it like that or finish it off with a axe stone to get a paper cutting edge

Great file. Good for the workshop and small enough to carry around when away cutting. Neat and convenient. Cant buy in Australia. Thanks Amazon for having it available in store.

Made short work of sharpening my mower blade. Now i can mow about the town hither and thither, here a little there a little. The grass is always greener on the other side... until I show up and shave it to the nubbins with my newly sharpened bladeington.

Cuts well and cleans up nice with a file brush
