BETTER THAN I EXPECTED, A GREAT PRODUCT FOR THE PRICE!
I read mixed reviews of this spool rack after placing my order. I was concerned it would be poorly constructed or weak as some had reported, but I am happy to say it is not. It is sturdy, stable, raw in appearance (no finish applied), all pegs were intact and overall the construction is good, about what you would expect for the price. There were complaints about mounting hardware not being included even though the seller doesn't state it's provided, just advertises the rack as wall mountable. My rack also did not come with mounting hardware, I don't really mind since I plan to use it standing. I was also concerned that 550Y size embroidery spools might not fit well since there were many complaints about the spacing being too tight and the pegs too small. 550Y spools fit perfectly with plenty of room for convenient use. I ordered a 63 spool embroidery thread set and it arrived along with the rack. I filled the rack with 60 of the 550Y spools and it remained sturdy and stable, not tumble prone as others have experienced. The wood is stapled together, but mine was neatly put together, undamaged and exactly as described. Not giving the product 5 stars because it's not a high end product, though it does the job and is worth the price. Delivered on time, product matched the image online and was exactly as described. It sounds like the production of these racks are hit or miss. Thankfully, mine was a hit. Would purchase again and would recommend it to others.

Works great for me.
I am going to hang this thread rack on the wall over my dresser to store necklaces. I discovered this trick in a magazine and this thread rack was the example so I ordered it straight away. I have many long necklaces that have been hanging on a lamp and now there are too many so they're no longer easy to access. This crafty solution is the perfect way to store long and short necklaces and the spools are long enough to store several necklaces on each one. I will finally be able to see my entire collection and I'll be able to easily pick one off the rack without causing a major spill. I will still store a few on my lamp, but I have so many necklaces that I haven't been able to see well or are on the back side and basically inaccessible. Now I will have plenty of room for all of them and for a few more. This was a brilliant idea. Thanks Real Simple magazine for turning me on to this tip. I have been very frustrated with my necklace situation for a long time. I may even get a second rack if needed. My husband build a small box frame, which is how it was displayed in the magazine. An ingenious idea. I recommend using this rack for necklaces if your current storage method doesn't allow you to see your entire collection at once. This has worked out perfectly for me. I definitely recommend this thread rack for this purpose.

Great size and weight for wall mounting :-)
I ordered 2 of these June Tailor Thread Racks and they are exactly what I was hoping for. It is lightweight, but solidly made and easily holds 550YD spools of embroidery thread with plenty of finger space between spools. I saw that several people had asked if these can be mounted on the wall...the answer is yes. I mounted both on the wall using 4 sets of the Large 3M Command Picture Hanging Strips, each set will hold 16lbs. I use 3M Command Strips to hang everything in my house, so I know they will hold with ease. 2 sets of the larger strips or 4 medium strip sets on each would have been more than enough, but I live in a humid climate, so I wanted the extra protection in case the humidity loosens one of the strips. The rack is very nicely made and the base that the thread sits on is wide enough to attach the color number label beneath the thread. I just cut the color number portion of the label from the sticker on the base of the thread to match the width of the base of the rack. This will make it very easy to find and restore my thread in the same order as the color chart provided with it. If you are trying to get organized and want to make it easier to find your thread, don't hesitate to order one of these. This rack is definitely worth the money.

Not a "Wall Mount" without some work
I ordered this product because the size was compatible with a similar rack I have. My rack is a wall mount, and this item listed "wall mount" as its "mounting type." I expected at least holes in the legs, if not actual hardware for mounting. This item is the same size as the one I have, which is good, but there are no holes for mounting it on a wall. Did not expect to have to drill holes myself to make this rack a "wall mount."

This was the perfect idea. I can use it in my craft ...
I bought a new embroidery sewing machine and it came with several spools of thread. I thought I need to buy something to hold the thread on. This was the perfect idea. I can use it in my craft room. It is made of strong, durable wood and can hold a lot of thread or embroidery thread. I can see all the colors at once and can organize them by color. The spindles are not too long or too short. The frame is sturdy and sits perfectly level on my sewing table. This mega rack works for the everyday sewer to the professional sewer as it makes finding your thread so simple. As I stated before organizing by color makes it easy to access for when you are working on a sewing project. Especially for when I am working on an embroidery project and need to change the colors within my project. I actually now have enough thread that I will either buy a new larger rack or will buy a second one of the same size so that I can keep track of all my colors. Thanks for the fast delivery and the awesome product. I will recommend it to my friend.s

Just what I was looking for.
This product is just what I wanted and, although it wouldn't take too much wear and tear because of its somewhat flimsy construction, I've put it on a peg board and it's pretty firm. Would recommend.

Excellent spool rack
I read through the reviews for the different versions of this before buying one - it is particularly noted that reviews for several racks available from other sellers are very poor quality and I didn't see any point in fixing it to the wall if it was going to drop to bits! However, have to report that this rack is very sturdy, excellent quality and was very easy to fix to the wall (this rack will also stand alone, but I decided to wall-mount it). Definitely worth paying a little more to get a good quality item.

Strudy Spool Holder
The rack and sturdy and compact, and holds my small spools of machine embroidery thread perfectly. Be aware, though, that the legs do not lock into place, so it is best left in one spot and not moved regularly from place to place.

I think it's fine. It is a little pricey considering it is ...
I didn't have high hopes of this as some previous reviews have been negative, but, I think it's fine. It is a little pricey considering it is just thin wood stapled together BUT, would you want to spend hours and hours fiddling about to make this? I wouldn't! So all in all, it's a nice little piece of kit. I would recommend it.
