Q: With this battery, can the charger be left on when laptop is off & come with directions for 1st charge process ?

Yes you can leave the charger connected when the laptop is off. This is what I do 99% of the time. As far as 1st charge, don't recall there being any instructions. I typically install, attach charger, then immediately power up and use.

Q: Will it work for T500?

I think so, because there's a buyer that asked about a warranty and he wrote he used it in a T500.
