The 4 piece 9' is an 8/9 weight not a 10 weight as listed. Rod quality is good with well chosen eye locations. Casts very well. The blank is an ofdclay color rather than the usual black graphite which is off-putting and gives me pause about the durability of the rod. Feels similar to the scientific angler rods. Overall, great rod for $50.Update: used purely in saltwater. Rod loads very quickly for accurate quick casts at redfish. I have orvis and sage rods and I find myself grabbing the tica. It's lighter, casts more readily and doesn't wear out your wrists. This is a great rodUpdate, this rod handles the saltwater very well and loads well in heavy wind. I’ve caught red drum, flounder, bluefish and sharks. This is my favorite rod. I still prefer it to my orvis and sage rods a year later.
