Perfect After Alterations!
I bought this suit for a wedding and caught it on a flash sale for just under $100. Wiw, what a great deal! I got this suit in tan, size 56L, which comes with size 52 pants. The pants leg is wide to the bottom with no hemming. Because I spent so little on the suit itself I had a bigger budget for alterations. After having the pants leg tapered and hemmed, the vest taken in and slightly shortened and the jacket sleeves shortened, this suit fit perfectly and was incredibly comfortable! Very good quality. I got so many compliments and am looking forward to purchasing at least two more of these suits in black and in white in the near future. I'd highly recommend this for someone who wants to look great on a budget or for someone who is purchasing their very first suit.P.S. I'm wearing this with the Stacy Adams Dickinson Cap Toe Lace Up Oxford shoe in cognac, also available on Amazon for an affordable price.

Good suit for not too much money.
The pants were very long, but that's so you can cut them and hem them to the right length. I sewed on some buttons for suspenders and hemmed the pants and that was it - good fit.I'm 6 feet. 50+ chest. 19" neck. 280 pounds - big belly - hard to fit. Ultimately, the 52R did it for me.Dress shirt (bought elsewhere) was 19 neck, 34-35" sleeve. I mention this since it's those sorts of comments that help one determine if a suit might fit them if they are close to my build, or they might need a size up or a size down. I hope this helps. I like the suit. I don't wear suits much, but when I need one, this will do.

Budget time and money for alterations
In general, I like the suit. I bought it for a funeral in NYC in January, and the material is a little better suited for my current home in SC. I did not, however, find it see-through as one reviewer stated.I based my size on three things - a reviewer about my size (6'1", 310 lbs) who went with the 56, a sport coat I bought in October, a 56 long, and Amazon Essential dress slacks I like. The pants waist was perfect, but they need to be hemmed - about a foot of material should accommodate any height. The jacket closed perfectly, but the sleeves were long - I should have ordered a 56 regular. It is interesting that the tailor said she thought we could leave the body length as it came, due to my "body shape." So they shortened the sleeves and moved the buttons up. Better than buying too short and having no material. As others have mentioned, the legs are wide to the bottom. They would have been wearable, but as long as I was having so much work done, I had them taper them - not real tight, as it was a funeral, but enough that you could see I had two legs. I also had them add buttons for suspenders, apparently the preferred way to wear a three piece. The only real negative is that the vest was too tight, by a bit. I could button it, but the material pulled open. There was no extra material to let out, so I had them move the buttons. as close as possible to the edge. It worked, only slightly puckering the material.I spent considerably more on the tailoring than I did on the suit. But that's OK. Half of it was my fault for buying the long instead of regular. I ended up with a nice (tailored) three piece suit for around $300. I am losing some weight, so the vest will come into line eventually. The rest of the suit fits well now that they've done their magic.

just like this suit
This is for the TAN version of the Suny Vested 3-piece suit. It is listed as big-tall size, however only the pants are different in any way, in my opinion. I have ordered 9 suits on line so far, just like this suit, 48R coat, 42W pants is what shipped. The "W" is new for me, as I recall. This suit came with what I find to be a very normal 48R cut coat. These pants are not at all snug on the legs, I have linebacker buttocks and legs, these are more than comfortable. The pants have an ELASTIC attachment right at the front pocket, that allow the waist-line to expand to a 44 inch waist. I like fine suits, and I don't mind this feature at all, and like I said the pants are roomy, not quite like golf-pants.I have only tried the suit on for a few minutes, but it is definitely a quality suit. Money very well spent. Seams and appearance of the suit is top-notch. It is medium weight, maybe leaning a little towards summer/spring wear, however you don't want a heavy suit indoors ever, anyway. Vest is exactly normal compared to others as well, and both vest and coat are perfect standards for 48-inch cuts. Arms on coat may be 1/2 inch longer than other suits, not sure, but coat does say "R". For the price a little bit of altering should not be a concern. No blemishes detected, very happy, I cannot wait to show it off.

Nice Jacket and Vest if you don't mind going NAKED on your legs and areas that should be hidden...
I was very happy with the jacket and the vest, the fit was perfect on all three pieces but the pants are pretty much useless. In the picture the pants are made of the same material as the suit jacket, but what came was a misrepresentation of the product offered. The pants are made of a very thin see through material, there is no liner, you can see the front and back pockets through the fabric very clearly and if you can see those pockets (not just the outline of the pocket but the actual pocket) then you can see everything else that a pair of pants is supposed to hide. He might as well just wear the jacket and the vest and wear nothing else...the result is the same. My son has hairy legs and you can see his hair through the fabric of the pants, that is how thin the material is. It's ridiculous. I'm giving this 1 star because we need a 3 piece suit, which I paid for, but effectually got 2 pieces and a piece of useless material. Off to spend more money to try to find a decent pair of white pants to match to the top of the suit. Had the pants been actual pants and made of the same good material as the jacket I would have given this item 5 stars. It's almost as though they ran out of pants for the suits and just threw something in at the last minute, the quality does not match. I will try to update with a photo of how bad it is.

Really nice suits — I mean, I bought three of them.
If I'm not getting my suit tailored, I usually buy a ready-made suit in person. Still, due to strict COVID-19 restrictions where I live, that's nearly impossible at this time. I decided to try the online experience of buying a suit. I am pleased to say I have ordered three three-piece suits from Stacy Adams through Amazon. (I have a tan, a navy blue and a grey one.) I am generally pleased with my purchases — I mean, I bought three of them. And it isn't so easy to find ready-made suits that fit and look good on big and tall people without having to go to a tailor to construct one. Nevertheless, they aren't perfect or entirely without fault, but I'll start my review with what I found worked well.PROS:1. Their prices for a three-piece suit are a great deal. You can't go wrong.2. They offer a wide range of blazer sizes (as in regular or long or tall).3. While not the most expansive, the colour selection is good enough to say they offer a variety.4. The material is satisfactory and breathable and not too heavy. I can see myself wearing any of these suits all year round.CONS:As with most purchases, there are sometimes things that don't execute as well as you hoped. Thankfully, none of the following points left me with buyer’s remorse — they are simply things I experienced:1. I had to get quite a few alterations done to get the suit to fit me properly, which I always anticipate when buying clothes online. Alterations, however, can be pretty pricy. Because there wasn't a customization option, I ordered my general suit size. Still, the shoulders of my blazer were too big and needed taking in. Furthermore, the pants were too loose, unhemmed and desperately required tapering to look presentable. Finally, the vest was crying for a bit more room in the front.2. The price of the suit you choose differs greatly depending on the colour you choose — sometimes by a lot — and it does seem to fluctuate a lot once you buy one. (Remember, I purchased three suits in different colours, and all three were at different prices even though they are the same suit in essence.) For example, once I purchased the navy blue suit, it immediately went up in price by $30-$40. Again, as soon as I bought the charcoal suit, it immediately went up in price by almost $80. (Online economics active at work, I guess.)3. The colour of my grey suit wasn't as dark as advertised. It resembled more like my navy blue suit. In the pictures they show you on Amazon, the advertised colour is like a deep charcoal grey, which is what I wanted and why I bought the suit in the first place. But when I held it up against my navy blue suit, they almost looked the same. (My wife was even confused as she thought I bought the same suit twice, LOL.)4. The inside lining of the tan blazer was not stitched sufficiently. It was hanging loose in the sleeve area and at the bottom of the jacket — so much so — when I brought it to my tailor for alterations, he immediately commented on it. It might have been a one-off situation; who knows?Once again, all in all, I am happy I purchased these suits. In the future, if Stacy Adams offers a wider selection of colours outside of the ones they have now, I would most likely buy another suit from them.
