This is the best phone I have ever used
This is the best phone I have ever used.If I could find another phone, at any price, or any size no matter how ludicrous, that had all the sensible capability of this phone, was as easy to get used to, but had Updated processor-speed and internal storage... I would buy it. Until then, I continue to use this, waiting for another one that is at least as good, overall.I don't expect anybody to agree with me... phones these days have so many features and characteristics, and people's preferences vary so widely; plus individual preferences change constantly. But some of the things that keep this being the phone I use everyday, instead of the newer and more powerful nexus 4, samsung s6, moto G, LG OptimusG, and all the other flagcrap out there... which i peruse weekly: I like that the bottom buttons are touch buttons not the mechanical ones found on the iPhone and Samsung ones that have come out since this one, that I can use a Call Recorder on this...so many don't allow that now without rooting, that the UI is pleasantly colorful and visually easy to use unlike the cave-painting concept of especially the newer bare-Android yet not as garish/ridiculous/animated as the one's on the flagSamsungs, that they don't lie about the size of the screen by including the touch buttons in the screen, that it is a good size for the hand, that it is still workably powerful after almost four years, in short... that it was/is high-Function, Low bs.I wish I could remember all the specific times I have gotten this to do things that were no longer sexy enough to show up in the newest and greatest flagships, but that I still wanted to be able to access on my phone, sexy or not.In short, this was a winner, a sleeper, but a winner.Of course there are things I don't like about this, but they are all minor compared to the deal-breakers that show up on all the flagships currently out there, and for the last 3 years.Unfortunately it is like looking for the holy grail now to get a phone that fits in only one hand, and yet is flagship-powerful. So at some point I suppose I will be forced to buy one of the humongoids, and the handtruck it fits on, just so I can still download modern webpages.I'm ready even for that, if they would only make one that would do all that this one did four years ago, and is still doing. Until then, this one stays in my pocket, backed up by two extras, in case this one dies.

Nice but with some issues
Having issues with this phone. Very nice looking and of course, is an android phone. Came with version 4.04 Ice Cream Sandwich. Voice recognition software is horrible (Vlingo) and Bluetooth is not totally hands free. Have tried to configure over and over but to no avail. Also, ringer keeps going off spontaneously for no reason. These bugs could probably be worked out but was hoping to not have to spend a lot of time working on it. Overall though the phone is very fast on 4G LTE and very comfortable in the hand. I had bought this as a back up phone because I am rough on my phones. I would recommend this phone if you have the time to reload the OS and tweak the on board installed apps.

If you like to text or take pictures/video, you may want to reconsider...
I had a Samsung Galaxy S3 prior to this and it broke. Did not want to sign on for another contract or spend $500 on a new one so I bought this for $150. Pros: Internet speed and connection are good. Nice size. Good screen resolution. Cheap!Cons: Photo quality is pretty poor. Keypad is a major pain: 50% of the time, chooses the wrong letter and provides really ridiculous word suggestions. Takes me double the time to write a text than it did with my old phone and I wasn't thrilled with the text messaging on that one either. Forget about writing an email because you might lose your mind in frustration trying to type it. It will do for now.

Worked Well For Two Years
I bought this phone on Amazon in September of 2012. I had no complaints for the first year. It was fast, compact, charged really quickly and held the charge all day. After about a year, I had to start manipulating the charger for it to work. I've used other chargers and have had the same issue with all but one Blackberry charger that we keep at work. Not long after this issue began, the battery life took a dive. I now have to charge it twice per day unless I literally do not use the phone at all. Even then, the battery is dead by 8 pm. I kill apps regularly and use power saving mode as well.Just this past week, I tired of constantly having to charge my phone and decided to buy a replacement battery. Good thing I haven't gotten around to it yet, because the external speaker broke two days ago. No notifications, alarms, music or speaker phone. The sound comes through headphones and I can hear voice calls as long as I don't use speaker, which is a pain for me because my phone is always on the charger in a strange position and if I pick it up to talk, it won't charge. I also need the alarm to wake up for work, but I do have an old alarm clock hanging around somewhere to get me by until I can purchase a new phone.Other than these (more annoying than anything) problems, this is a great starter phone or device for someone who likes being able to browse online but doesn't necessarily do anything that would require more speed or memory. The 4G is fast. The main camera takes 10 minutes to take a picture but the front camera is quick. The flash is blinding and works great as a flashlight (and the flashlight app makes a cool noise that I can no longer hear). It didn't come with an alarm app but I downloaded one that works fine. It had started slowing down and freezing months ago so I've taken to turning it off daily, which is probably a good habit to have. Oh and it overheats if you're on the phone too long, but that is also a recent problem and could be related to the battery. All in all, a fine device as long as you don't plan on using it all day or for many years. I plan on "upgrading" to an S III and I love Samsung products. You won't find accessories in stores as readily as you find S series or iPhone products, but Amazon and EBay have good selections in cases for really cheap. I recommend keeping a screen cover on it.

Great all-around phone and the price is reasonably low
It's not necessarily a 5 star phone, but I give it 5 because it is exactly what I wanted and exactly what I expected per the ad. It's a really good all-around phone. Not much storage, but an external SD will take care of that problem. The OS is relatively old, but Android is Android, and it's not Apple (thank God). If you have specialized needs in a phone, this one probably isn't for you. I got it for my 12 year old and he couldn't be happier.
